Teaser Gallery: Panini America Opens Early Boxes of 2013-14 Totally Certified Hockey
This time tomorrow, hockey collectors across North America will help make hobby history by busting open packs of 2013-14 Totally Certified Hockey, the brand’s first-ever appearance on the ice. True to its roots in other sports, 2013-14 Totally Certified Hockey offers the brand staples that have become the stuff of legend, including microetched base cards in a rainbow array of colored parallels, hot autographed memorabilia Rookie Cards and cool memorabilia cards.
But 2013-14 Totally Certified Hockey also packs a few pioneering traits that make it unlike any Totally Certified that has come before, including the addition of rainbow holofoil to some of the rarer microetched gems and acetate-meets-memorabilia concept of the Clear Cloth insert. (You can check out those beauties in the Quality Control Gallery we published last week.)
But here’s something we didn’t know about the product until we busted three early boxes of 2013-14 Totally Certified Hockey this morning: There are Hot Boxes. In fact, thanks to Panini America NHL Brand Manager Chris Barr, we know that five boxes in every 12-box case will deliver five autograph or memorabilia hits (as opposed to the advertised four); two boxes will deliver six hits.
You can get an early glimpse as the product in the following Teaser Gallery, which takes you pack by pack through three boxes. Enjoy and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for continued coverage of 2013-14 Totally Certified Hockey.
