You’ve heard the buzz. You’ve seen the autographs as they’ve come in. You’ve witnessed the Quality Control Gallery. About all that’s left of previewing Panini America’s new 2013 Spectra Football before tomorrow’s highly anticipated release is to discover just what you might find inside a randomly selected box or three — which is exactly what we just did.

As you’ll soon see, what we found is a bevy of eye-catching designs, more autographs than expected, some scarcely low serial numbering and an insert-to-base-card-ratio of almost two-to-one. To be more precise, our three-box, 18-pack rip test delivered 22 autographs, 15 memorabilia cards, 26 inserts/parallels and 36 total base cards. Put another way: 2013 Spectra Football is a hit-filled thrill ride.

You can explore the contents of our three boxes in the gallery that follows — and be sure to stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for additional coverage in the coming days.

  1. Spectacular product, as usual. The vibrancy of colors/outer film makes this set look amazing. Top Notch, as always.

  2. That Steve Largent is PHENOMENAL!!!!!! Favorite player of all time–had to wear #80 in high school–so if you are looking for a home for that card I have a mantel just perfect for it! The Malcolm Floyd–another fellow #80–is not to shabby either—great job as always!

  3. I like the variety of design and low numbered content in this product. Also 3 boxes with no redemptions are a great sign for the product’s reception among certain folks in the hobby. Thanks Tracy!
