Teaser: Panini America Cracks Three Boxes of 2013-14 Totally Certified Basketball

It seems only fitting that Panini America's 2013-14 Totally Certified Basketball releases this Wednesday, just one day before Thanksgiving. After all, Totally Certified has long delivered the kinds of hits and experiences for which hoops collectors often give thanks. Based on the three early boxes we busted this morning, that tradition seems to be firmly intact for another year.

It seems only fitting that Panini America’s 2013-14 Totally Certified Basketball releases this Wednesday, just one day before Thanksgiving. After all, Totally Certified has long delivered the kinds of hits and experiences for which hoops collectors often give thanks. Based on the three early boxes we busted this morning, that tradition seems to be firmly intact for another year.

True to its time-tested recipe, 2013-14 Totally Certified Basketball packs one autograph or memorabilia card in every pack, not to mention the bevy of colorfully coveted Totally parallels. New for 2013-14, though, is the inclusion of acetate autographs from two different inserts (and one of our boxes below included two of those).

You can check out the pack-by-pack breakdown of our three six-pack boxes in the Teaser Gallery that follows. Enjoy the gallery and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for additional coverage of 2013-14 Totally Certified Basketball.

  1. Nice cards, but as i said before the acetate cards looks like they not belong to the Totally Certified, but i guess it is not a big deal.
And as i see the color variations are more rare.

  2. Let’s get the HRX Video cards done from the 2012 set. Would make a great Christmas present for all the patient collectors who have been eagerly awaiting these for almost a year now!

    1. I’m with you Joe! The previous year (11-12), the HRX cards were redemptions but were ready to go, sent out quickly to anyone lucky enough to pull one. This past season, not so much. You gotta wonder why…..afterall, there is no auto being waited on (at least for the majority of the video cards)…no athlete to coordinate with… just a video card….

      Why the hold-up?

  3. An absolute plethora of Klay Thompson’s and Peyton Siva’s. I know someone who would gladly take some of those off your hands, along with the Wesley Mathews and Rudy Gobert–it’s me! Thanks for the preview, cards look amazing! Go COUGS!

  4. That Victor Oladipo, hard signed acetate /25 is massive! Wow, if I broke a couple boxes and found that I’d be thrilled. Box 2 FTW!

  5. shiny cards! would’ve been way better if they were hard-signed but hey, who am i to complain? the designs are quite eye-catching if you ask me…now i do hope oladipo pans out because i am pinning my hopes on him to salvage this draft class…bennett is still struggling…

      1. Hello Tracy,
Im a big fan of your panini unwrapped segments on youtube and a big fan of the panini company. I was just wondering on how I can win a box of panini select hockey because on the youtube video of you and chris barr unboxing the product, there was no details on how to win one of the two boxes. Please let me know how I can win one as I really want to get my hands on one of those boxes. They looked like a fantastic product at the fall expo.
        Thanks.

  6. Tracy,
going back to Joe’s comment on the HRX cards from last years product.
Do you have any idea what the progress is on these cards? I can understand the ones that are waiting on auto’s like my Kyrie /10 but I don’t understand why I have not seen my Kevin Durant /40. There is no auto on this one. has Panini just not gotten around to making these yet?
    Thanks for your response Tracy
