The Anticipated Debut of the 2010-11 Gold Standard Solid Gold Tracker and Gallery
2010-11 Gold Standard Basketball has left its precious-metal mark all over the world in the two weeks since it released.
There’s been buzz created in Taiwan with the uncovering the of the product’s first Golden Ticket, currently on eBay with a Buy It Now price just south of $30,000. Here in the states, the product’s 14-karat gold Solid Gold insert cards have rivaled the frenzy created by their predecessors in Playoff Contenders Football and Hockey.
The first confirmed sale we’ve tracked of a Solid Gold card, that of Tim Duncan, closed at an impressive $1,500. A handful of others have surfaced on the secondary market, including biggies LeBron James and John Wall as well as LaMarcus Aldridge, Stephen Curry and David Robinson pulled in, of all places, Paris, France.
To date, though, just four have Solid Gold cards have been redeemed and sent to lucky collectors, and those are included in the debut of the Solid Gold Tracker below. After you’ve perused the list, stay tuned for an exclusive first look at many of the hoops history-makers. But first, here’s a snapshot of the Solid gold cards redeemed so far:
