Yesterday we tantalized collectors with a must-see selection of sweet card images from 2010 Certified Football, which releases Wednesday. But there's another Panini America product from another sport releasing next week that also deserves its own appetite-whetting gallery: 2010-11 Rookies & Stars Basketball.
Yesterday we tantalized collectors with a must-see selection of sweet card images from 2010 Certified Football, which releases Wednesday. But there’s another Panini America product from another sport releasing next week that also deserves its own appetite-whetting gallery: 2010-11 Rookies & Stars Basketball.
Rookies & Stars is a breath-of-fresh-air kind of product that provides an exciting break filled with, well, lots of rookies, lots of stars, lots of legends and a fun, dynamic, modern design palette that looks great, especially when melded with the stars of yesteryear (check out the Rod Hundley and Kelly Tripucka cards in the gallery below).
Here’s hoping you get a chance to bust some 2010 Rookies & Stars Basketball when it arrives next week. Stay tuned for a Panini Unwrapped segment with the product on Monday. Until then, enjoy this delectable dose of eye candy.
Nice Tracy, nice cards but why is Dasean Butler still in Panini Products when hes not in the NBA anymore?
Need to check with the product development guys. Obviously, they’re aware of that. I’m assuming timing simply didn’t allow for his removal from the set.
Thats is understandable. I understand they have to produce a checklist months before and its still too early in the season. Nice chance to get Wall, Johnson and Turner in these even though honestly the rest of the rookie class has been slow.
have a good weekend man, i will update you on my certified breaks next week!
Cool, man. Looking forward to it.
Is Landry Fields in this product?
he wasnt in limited and he is in the top 5 for scoring in nba
I’m not a huge fan of R & S, although, I must say there are a few R & S football and Basketball patch cards I want. However, the sticker auto’s in this product look pretty careless/cheap. The relic/jersey patches used in this product DO look GREAT, but the auto’s look cheap. It’s unfortunate as Panini has a good looking product regardless of price. Although, if the price is right, it might just cut it. Regardless, it looks like Panini is relying on stickers to sell its product, when it really doesn’t NEED it.
Nice looking product/design, just get rid of stickers. Add quality jersey patches to product and there is no need for sticker auto’s.
Appreciate the feedback, Charles. Keep it coming.
Thanks Tracy. I understand the sticker auto deal. I rally do. At approx. $80/box, for 4 auto’d/jersey/ cards, I get it. R & S def gets a positive review at that price and hits/box. It’s the more expensive products that I have issue with the stickers.
Otherwise, I think R & S hits the nail on the head for price and value. I’m liking the jersey cards. The patches are placed out side of the players torso. I’m also diggin’ the use of team colors in the background on the cards. Is it the best Panini Basketball product (Panini HOF)? No, but it’s not bad. Liking the “Super Stars” cards, just wish they were on-card. Def an improvement from last years offering.
BTW, has that Contenders CJ Spiller “Sweet Card” been placed on the site on purpose? That looks sweet. I’ll def be chasing that!!!
Good feedback, man. As for the Spiller, absolutely placed there on purpose. It’s the first autographed Contenders card that’s been returned (it’s the 1/1 variation). I’ll be chasing the Tebow; just not the 1/1.
Those Contenders Rookie Tickets are awesome. There def are some nice Spiller cards out there. I just wish he would do a bit more out there on Sundays. Maybe today is that Sunday, for both Spiller and My Bills.
Although, I do have “Megatron” going in my fantasy league and need the points. I guess i’m hoping for a high scoring affair between My Bills and the Lions.
I’ve got Spiller and Best in two leagues; still waiting for Spiller to flash some of that tremendous ability.
Hey Tracy,

Thanks nice job panini got #1/25 & #1/10.
Awesome cards. Thanks for sharing.
Very nice stuff, always a good product in both NBA and NFL releases. Why is Butler out of the league? I thought he was pretty good!
