The Drool Gallery: 2010 Donruss Football Rated Rookie Boxed Set

If you can keep this between us, I’ll let you in on a little secret: I got an advance look yesterday at one of the coolest little football products to come along in a long, long time.

It’s the self-contained, brilliantly-boxed coup known as the 2010 Donruss Football Rated Rookie Boxed Set — and it’s even sweeter than it appeared when we first announced its existence in November.

It’s sure to be one of the most popular NFL trading card products of the season because it has a can’t-miss arsenal rivaling Tim Tebow‘s that includes 100 Rookie Cards, one autographed Rookie Card and an irresistible price point ($19.99).

Luckily for us, I’m in good with Stephanie Carlson, Panini America‘s VP of Production. Carlson was on her way to drop some sets off to customer service yesterday when she asked if I’d like to scan a few of the cards. I said “Yes.” Actually, I screamed “YES!” I figured you’d like to see them in advance of the product going live next week.

Enjoy . . .

  1. The price point is obviously nice on this product, but it’s the overall design of the cards that really brings this one home for me. Great use of accent/team colors. And really, who doesn’t like Rated Rookies!!!

  2. Hey freakin’ sweet! You got some Earl Thomas up there! It’s almost like you’re trying to make me satisfied for not having any Earl Thomas jersey auto’s. It’s kinda working, I got plenty of his auto’s to collect!

  3. Thank You for putting Victor Cruz in a set let alone his auto. BTW TRACEY…..I have a Tim Tebow Refractor rookie (jersey number)#15/199 if you’re interested!!!
