SANTEE, Calif. — The Famous San Diego Chicken delivered a “beak” performance for all ages over the weekend, regaling All Star Sports customers for more than two hours with the trademark brand of entertainment and interaction that has made him the most successful and recognizable mascot in sports history.
On Saturday, Panini America brought the famous fowl to All Star Cards in Santee, Calif., to help celebrate the recent release of the company’s 2016 Donruss Baseball product that includes a unique series of memorabilia and autograph cards honoring The Famous San Diego Chicken himself.
As you’ll see in the video and gallery that follow, the maestro of mascots did not disappoint. In addition to providing memories that will endure for future generations, The Famous San Diego Chicken made even the oldest fans in attendance feel like kids again. Along the way, he also carefully administered some of the most impeccable ink work you’ll ever see. Clearly, The Famous San Diego Chicken does not scribble chicken scratch.

I loved the San Diego Chicken as a kid. I belive it was 1983 or 84. He came to Memorial Coliseum for The University of Kentucky’s Midnight Madness. He signed my ’83 Donruss card for me. I would love to know what my mom did with that card after I moved away from home.
