“The Knight’s Lance” Turns 2 Next Week . . . Another Survey, Another Chance to Win

Today, we’re asking you to take part in another short, sweet two-question survey that follows. We’d appreciate greatly you taking a few minutes to answer the following questions about your general collecting habits. Tomorrow, we’ll select two random Knight’s Lance subscribers who took the survey to win a box of 2012-13 Threads Basketball.

Next Monday, The Knight’s Lance will celebrate two exhilarating years as the official blog of Panini America. And to honor the occasion, we’re planning a special celebration paying tribute to the most memorable posts, products, videos, players and people of the last 730 days or so.

But like everything else associated with The Knight’s Lance from the beginning, we can’t do it without you. So as we begin the countdown to our blogoversary, we’re going to be looking to our loyal readers for their feedback.  In exchange for your feedback, we’re giving away daily prizes.

  1. Done with the survey. Congrats on the soon to be 2 years! I am looking forward to many more. Thanks for the awesome chances to win great prizes and the many sneak peaks of Panini’s wonderful products.

  2. Survey done. I replied other to the 2nd question because I basically try to collect sets that I like. I usually avoid the SPs, just trying to put basic sets together. I do like to get some packs here and a box there of products I’m not trying to put sets together, though. Thanks for the chance to win some prizes! Congrats to the previous two days worth of winners!!

  3. Have always collected Football but the quality of your sets have me diversifying into Baseball, Basketball and even Hockey!

  4. Answered other because I collect whatever I think looks good. If the card has a sick design, I will go after it! In otherwords, the majority of Panini cards… but I’m too poor to afford them all!

  5. 2 days of surveys down guys. Good luck to everyone and thanks to Tracy and the rest of the Panini staff for the Knights Lance updates.

  6. Thanks for letting us have a chance to voice what our collecting preferences are. Love Panini products, especially hockey!!! Thanks for the great last few years of card releases and here is to many more years of excellent cards to collect.

  7. Survey Completed… I’d have to say I collect everything, but we’d all be lying if we didn’t say the autos, relics, etc. weren’t awesome to have. Thanks for the post and the chance to win.

  8. I love UFC, and wish you guys had a license for it. I also collect soccer. I also think it would be great if you put out a set with all sorts of sports. We love roller derby and other non-mainstream sports, and would love to have collectibles.

  9. Tracy,
I love these polls and seeing the different opinions of all the collectors. I think I lean towards rookie cards overall, however I would say I am predominantly an Everything collector because nothing beats pulling a great hit yourself from opening a box of cards, truly the best.
    Congrats Panini.

  10. VOTED AGAIN, THIS IS FUN. I USUALLY HATE SURVEYS, BUT I LOVE ANYTHING THAT HAS TO DO WITH COLLECTING PANINI AMERICA CARDS. CONGATS. ON TWO YEARS, HOPE FOR MANY MORE. I KNOW I’M NOT GOING ANYWHERE.

  11. Done another survey! Thanks! For what I collect, I used to go for rookies but have started going more for hard-signed autos. I love finding classic player autos and find that rookies with the hard-signed autos mean a lot more than a serial numbered parallel. Thanks again!

  12. I collect because I enjoy it. I enjoy pulling that sweet card as much as getting that card I need for my set in trade.

  13. Not sure if you are supposed to make an entry or just answer the questions so I did both. I am more than happy to participate in any surveys you have. Many thanks.

  14. Poll done! I collect EVERYTHING but love the auto’s and rookie cards! I look forward to new rookie cards every year! Thanks Panini ! Thanks for the great 2 years of reading! Happy Anniversary to you and EVERYONE who works on this blog every day and week!

  15. I answered other for question 2. I collect auto and jersey cards of rookie premiere players every year. I have 16 more to go! Hopefully, when absolute comes out, I’ll be able to cross the rest off. Looking forward to it!

  16. I love when you guys do pricing index

You do a better job than Beckett on research

You explain value and try to help the collector

Panini is what Donruss wished they could have been

You have helped the hobby by showing the values of collecting

And expressing the emotions that the collector feels

    Happy 2 year

I was at the national……….you have great people working for you

  17. Survey completed my friends. It is nice to see a good football showing! Man I love that game. Keep up the good work and I hope that you guys are around for many more years to come.

  18. My wife just doesn’t understand. This is an addiction! I don’t have tons of money to leaves the kids. I do, however, have a very large collection they can split. That elusive search for Jordan, LeBron, Bird, Kobe … keeps bringing me back. I wish you had the first two. Maybe someday.

  19. –Congrats on 2 years!
–The Knight’s Lance is always informative and very entertaining!
    –The Product Previews are amazing!
    –The Promotions are stunning!
–To quote Tim Tebow “I’m excited” …for the daily dose from the Knight’s Lance!!!

  20. Voted like always! I’m still kinda sad about Threads being pushed 🙁 oh well only one more week! Thanks again Panini on getting me into the hobby. Y’all are once again the only company I will ever be buying from, you guys just seem to really care about your customers and I love that! Happy 2 years! Thunder Up!!!!

  21. Thanks Panini for another chance to win some of your awesome products:)
Took the survey and I love the questions you guys ask-

  22. I’m a football collector and although I collect mainly rookie cards, more specifically autographs and autographed rc’s. Thanks!

  23. Not sure if it was necessary to comment that I took the survey but I took it and obviously commented on that fact. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Sorry just needed to get that out.

  24. Hockey is definitely the funniest sport to collect, especially since you came in to the market. Soccer is actually my first sport to watch and play, but since the market there is very small with not many good products (not anyone actually) I prefer hockey when I collect! 🙂

The money I have for the hobby I want to buy boxes for, because that is what I think is the funniest part; open boxes and packs! 😀

  25. Survey done! I really enjoy this blog. If I can add some advice/criticsm I feel that Panini by far has the best customer service and interaction with collectors, however there are some areas that can be improved. For example, quicker responses on redemptions/damaged products. Contacts when Panini promises contact. I was the first person to get the Panini Kobe Auto HRX card and it said on the card i was supoosed to be contacted by Panini for some reason or another, there was never contact. I feel that these interactions can really make Panini stand out from their competitiors if followed throguh on. Also, a thought would be occasional polls or blogs where we can really give our feedback of what we want… Right now, UD is taking a huge hit bc they don’t have any logoman or real patches in their Exquisite product, Panini can avoid issues liek this by asking people on here what they want to see! Thanks.

      1. I voted on the last blogoversary and won.I have never busted a hobby box before either only hobby packs, blaster and retail packs i am so exited to see what will arive.Every football, basketball card i owne is made by Panini America;-). Good luck!

  26. I am a young rookie collector. Love the football and basketball cards. Enjoy pack breaks at the local card shop with my dad. We have a great time together with my new hobby.

  27. if you could bring back diamond kings baseball, i would be in love with panini even more. cant wait for cooperstown baseball. going to try and get the announcers set.

  28. The survey says . . . the two lucky winners in this round — as selected with the help of random.org — are Keith S. and Andrew McKay. Thanks again to everyone who took the time to participate in the survey. We appreciate you. As for our two winners, be on the lookout for an email from us. Thanks again.
