Next Monday, The Knight’s Lance will celebrate two exhilarating years as the official blog of Panini America. And to honor the occasion, we’re planning a special celebration honoring the most memorable posts, products, videos, players and people of the last 730 days or so.

But like just about everything else associated with The Knight’s Lance from the beginning, we can’t do it without you. So as we begin the countdown to our blogoversary, we’re going to be looking to our loyal readers for their favorite memories from the first two years. In exchange for your feedback, we’re giving away daily prizes.

Today, all we want from you is two things:

1. For you to subscribe to The Knight’s Lance by clicking the “Sign me up!” button in the top right corner. That way, you’ll receive an email from us notifying you of every new post. (If you’re already a subscriber, well, thank you. You’re halfway there.)

2. For you to tell us your single favorite or most memorable Knight’s Lance post from the last two years.

At the end of the day, we’ll select two winners at random and reward them with an unopened box of Panini America trading cards. That’s it for today. Stay tuned tomorrow as the countdown to our second blogoversary continues.

  1. Back when you used to do guess the autograph

It was so much fun trying to guess who signed the card, and it was a lot more difficult then I thought it was going to be. The older players were easy, but some of the new ones were very hard.

Also the Ryan Kesler game used stick videos were cool. It was awesome to see it used in a game, and then put into a card.

    Thanks for the two years!

  2. I haven’t been a subscriber for the last two years, but one of the more memorable posts for me was the Prime Hockey, with laces cards. What an novel and prettty cool idea! Here’s hoping players will be on the ice soon… Thanks as always for the daily insights and product peeks!

  3. I just got started collecting again this year so I wasn’t around for the first year of your life but after discovering Panini and the blog I have been a faithful reader and I have to say the most memorable thing I have seen is the production video of the Kessler stick from Acquisition to Packing. That was simply the most amazing thing I have seen, keep up the amazing work and great products.

  4. My favorite posts have been all the box busting posts when Tracy and another employee open up a product. Gives us a chance to see what it looks like, how many packs, design of the box, etc.

Congrats on the two years guys!

  5. My favorite post was from June of this year, which previewed the special Father’s Day sets you distributed to the local shops. I bought a couple of football packs that day and signed up to win the Father’s Day cards. I didn’t win, but I met a really good group of guys at the shop. There was a TON of excitement surrounding that promotion.

  6. Love, Love Love guess the autograph!! What a fun challenge trying to figure out the signatures from across all the different products…..(Ed Wang’s auto still stumps me….LOL)

  7. My favorite post was watching Andy dalton open some packs and talk about the upcoming season. It was fun to see pro athletes having fun opening packs.

  8. When I was in Afghanistan and I saw my smiling (ugly) mug being “spotlighted” on the Knights Lance, back on Memorial Day! What Panini did for me was much more than I could have ever imagined.
Happy to report that I made it home safely. All I ask is that everyone continue to keep all men and women fighting in their thoughts and prayers!
Keep up the fantastic work, Panini!!

    1. I really enjoyed the behind the seen look at the national’s, card shows. I think that is some of the coolest videos because it shows us what we would never see. I also like when you profile people’s collection’s and my favorite one had to be mine just joking. ~~~~Happy 2nd and more to come~~~~

  9. A Special “Merry Christmas” Episode of Panini Unwrapped . . . With Gifts! has to be my favorite because what better time to give away prizes then around Christmas. Thanks for the last 2 years of supporting card collecting! All of us appreciate everything you are doing, keep up the great work!

  10. My favorite moments were the preview galleries for Prime hockey this year, they got me excited for a product like never before.

  11. My favorite has to be your post about Martin Brodeur’s Dominion redemptions. Thanks to hearing first from you guys about Brodeur sending in his cards right after the release of Dominion, I was able to get my hands on a few redemptions of “devilish beauty” at a fairly reasonable cost. The best part is that I don’t have to wait long for the cards to come in the mail! Thanks again!

  12. I would have to go with the post y’all did early in your Blog days when @paniniamerica took over in the industry with it’s HRX Video cards from Totally Certified Basketball and Blake Griffin made an appearance to help showcase his awesome card…Those cards were a huge success and definitely changed the card business! I am still on the hunt for that Blake Griffin or John Wall HRX Video Card…however, i did score a TIm Tebow HRX Video Card out of Totally Certified Football last year and would be willing to trade it should anybody have a HRX Video Card of either of those guys! Thanks for the great products and the awesome giveaways!

  13. you really want me to pick ONE thing from the last 2 years!lol theres too many to chose from for sure, but loved all the national coverage from this year. i disnt get to attend so you guys made me feel like i was there from the expansive photos and information. i always enjoy the panini unwrappeds as well, ryan tatusko at nationals, karvin and hackler doing there unwrapped for prime hockey by the fire were a few good ones of recently! i just enjoy it all, and being able to see drool galleries of all the new products and cool new features you guys are bringing to products keeps me wanting more! oh and almost forgot, i really enjoyed watching the dominion video about ryan kessler! got to see the process of getting the stick from him and how its cut and produced into a card to packing it out! well done very awesome for a collector to see the process that goes into the cards that we collect! kudos to the whole panini team!! i better go before i dont leave any room for others to post!lol thanks again for all you guys do and congrats to the knights lance on 2 years!!! thanks all and take care!!!

  14. My favorite Post was last year when you guys posted some shots of the special NFL Draft signing you hosted at I believe was held at a Best Buy in CA. I used your post as confirmation of what players were actually there and bought a Jake locker signed Card from EBay as I’m on the east coast and had no shot of going to the signing. Great stuff!

  15. My most favorite post is that of the process of making Ryan Kesler Stickside Signatures from 11-12 Dominion. The best video ever of the process of making such a nice card.

  16. My favorite is the recent video of the making of Kessler’s stick cards. That video was awesome and could easily be included in one of the ‘how it’s made’ tv shows!

  17. My favorite was seeing you go get the hockey stick from the player then making it into a card. That was amazing and wish to see more of those types of videos in the future from you all at Panini. Getting to see the whole process from start to finish is remarkable.

  18. My favorite if one of your more recent posts about Ryan Kesler’s stick card on how it was made from start to finish. It offered such a wonderful insight into how the cards are made and how difficult it is to make them. That one was surely worth the reblog!!! Good luck and happy Paniniblogerversary! or is that Paniniversary, or is that ah nm… its a great blog

  19. My very favorite moment was when Panini America unveiled the Mammoth Rookie Patches from 2010-11 Dominion Hockey. The unbelievable images of the Jacob Markstrom Florida Panther patches serve as my screen saver today. Those are the most beautiful cards from a top of the line product. Ever hockey collector’s dream.
Also, let me not forget the introduction last February of Panini Playbook Football, a revolutionary product in collecting, can’t wait for the 2012 edition!
    Great work Panini and Congratulations.
    T

  20. My favorites would be from when you guys went through the production process of the Ryan Kesler Dominion stick cards. Very cool to cover the ENTIRE process, and make it as legit and authentic as it gets. Awesome job for you guys to do that.

Congrats on 2 years as well! 🙂

  21. My favorite post has to have been when the guy who hit the redemption for the National Treasure book card came in to get it. That was the most innovative idea ive ever seen in trading cards… can’t wait for the next big idea you guys have

  22. I read them all, but not sure of a favorite. I do really enjoy the pack-out process photos. And have loved the teaser photos for the newer Hockey products. So, I guess my favorite was probably the posts that showed the patches being cut up, all the pieces put together before they were placed in the cards

  23. My favorite post on The Knight’s Lance is the giveaway you did with Chad Redfern aka The FireHand. It was very interactive and gave people a chance to win a free box of Dominion and free cards. I eneded up getting 3rd place and walked away with a nice prize. I didn’t hit anything in the break but the card I got made up for it. Thanks for what you do and I can’t wait to see what you have planned for the next 2 years and beyond.

  24. I guess were gonna have ourselfs a little party next week! @Tracy you bring the cards, i’ll bring the cake? Hahaha

One of my favorite things has to be the blog in general. It just always keeps me up to date, allows me to get a want list with set chases for the coming months. And keeps me excited about cards even when there have been no new releases for a couple of weeks.

Thanks Tracy for keeping us informed these past 2 years! And this week i will finish my story on my Al Jefferson collection i promised you.

    Thanks!
    Daniel

  25. Really great giveaway to kick off the celebration, I have been signed up for a long time and receive all the emails. My personal favorite post is ” Two Hendersons, One National Treasures & the Greatest Finish in Video-Break History” because of the genuine excitement in the video. Marcus and I had a nice exchange of emails over the weeks after that break, we ended up completing a trade for one of the cards from the box so I have a personal connection to it as well. Can’t wait to see what else is in store, thanks Tracy!

  26. My favorite was the videos Tracy did at Panini HQ where he showed the reception area with the display cases full of memorabilia and past products from Panini, as well as the conference rooms full of the frames of type cards. I’d like to see more of those types of videos in the future – maybe more about the Panini designers and showing the tools they use to design cards.

  27. My most memorable posting was the Panini and The FireHand contest. I actually won something so was excited for that!

  28. How to pick just one out of so many great moments? For me, I was blown away by the 2010-11 Dominion preview where you showed off the Carey Price/Josh Gorges Tag Team Combos 1/1. That has been the card of my dreams ever since and just seeing such a card – of two of my most-collected players – was just incredible. Who knows, maybe one day I’ll actually be able to land it! Haha

    Thanks for all the memories!

  29. I wouldn’t say I have a single favorite post because all of them are truly amazing, but my most memorable would be the collection of posts from February regarding the inflation of Jeremy Lin rookie cards. This 1-2 week period made me hooked to The Knight’s Lance because reading how the value of his rookie cards skyrocketed more than 10 times its previous value was incredible. Furthermore, I’m always looking forward to new Panini Unwrapped videos!

  30. I have 2 favs first the ryan Kesler Stick from start to finish and the Prime updates…Those cards are amazing!

  31. I loved the series on getting the auto’s for preferred basketball. It was really cool to learn more about the on card auto process and various tidbits of how the athletes were during it.

The two funniest parts about it were:
    1. How naps seem to screw up weeks of planning.
    2. Learning that Ty Lawson does not like signing stickers.

  32. My favourite memory was the video of making the game used stick cards of Ryan Kessler in dominion hockey. It showed the amount of hard work panini puts in to acquire their items to assure they are game uses, the process of tagging, cutting and marking the game used piece as a puzzle and the entire process of putting the cards together as a system. Finally then packing them up for us to enjoy. This is just a simple reminder of the lengths panini does for us the collector!

  33. It is next to impossible to pick just one moment or post. The behind the scenes videos of the Ryan Kesler stick and the Bear Bryant hat were amazingly insightful. The steady stream and vast amounts of information found on The Knight’s Lance has provided for me a pre-release base of knowledge that translates to a confidence in my purchases and met expectations of the contents of the boxes. Tom Key’s editorial additions to the box breaks have added a great familiar comedic touch that makes the videos transcend the ordinary. But the Gondola ride in Italy is unforgettable… for many reasons.

    Congrats on two years!

  34. I always enjoy it when you post pictures of live events, especially ones where little kids get to meet professional athletes. There’s a picture from the most recent one, where some young boy is just so thrilled to be standing next to Alshon Jeffrey, and Jeffrey’s smiling back at him – it’s just straight up heartwarming.

  35. I love all the post but my favorite was guess the NHL autographs, I was amazed how many I got right. The Box break videos are a lot of fun and help break up the work day…

  36. I have been following your “The Knight’s Lance” since the very start. Watching it grow and become a thriving community has been a fascinating perspective on the relevance of social media.
    That said.., favorite post…
“Panini secures rights to Team USA Baseball.” There have been many good posts… the first mega-collector post was nice also, for accolades for collecting accomplishments are always nice…but I keep coming back to the Team USA Post. That Panini places value upon that niche product is critical, for it represents Panini’s stance within the hobby as a whole. Team USA Baseball is near and dear to the hearts of many collectors, and I’m thrilled that the product has been picked up by Panini.
    ‘Nuff said.

  37. I’m going to have to agree with James on this one…BY FAR my favorite is : http://paniniamerica.wordpress.com/2012/05/28/a-memorial-day-spotlight-panini-america-collector-ssg-james-d-sevier-iii/
Our soldiers(both male & female) who fight for and many of which have given their lives for our Country are not given the Respect or Admiration that they deserve…and for Panini to take it upon themselves to deal out some much needed appreciation says something huge about the Integrity of their Company! Thank you again to ALL the men and
women out there fighting to keep our country safe..and Thank you Panini for such a great article! GOD Bless & have a wonderful day!:-)

  38. I got to say the coolest thing that you have done that I got to be a part of is when you guys joined up with Chad (Truth17).

  39. This blog is great and I couldn’t likely narrow my favorite articles down to one, but I really like it when you give us looks at yet-to-be-released items. But, in my short time as subscriber, I also liked reading about the Andrew Luck signing just a few days ago!

  40. I love the added humor in the video. So seeing THackler rock it out to Justin Bieber – Baby after the Unwrapped video was hilarious! Great two years of blog posts!

  41. Well, first Id like to thank Tracy and the guys at Panini for starting such a great and much appreciated blog, for us card collectors to get the latest up to the minute access to all our favorite new products and the stages of them being made!! Its awesome to get behind the scenes look in, to let the collector to know what products their gonna really like and the ones we need to bolster our bank accounts for. There has been so many favorite posts on here for me, anywhere from the 2011 National Treasures Football look in on all the Rookie patch auto cards and beautiful patch cards of Hall of Famer’s and current favorite players. Lets not forget the Reebok tag autographs, that to this date are my favorite football cards! Like I said before there has been so many posts. I love all the Dominion coverage, from the Ryan K stick process, it was awesome to see the whole story from getting the stick from the athlete to back at the factory to the preparing of the stick to being cut down so each of his fans could have a shot to own a piece of his game used stick on a great card! Recently, Ive been thriving for some basketball love, and sure enough I come on the Knights lance to see the Absolute sneak peeks of some one of a kind patch cards, that the basketball community thrives on.I can not wait ill it comes out, and want to chase quiet a few of the beauties that are gonna be chases threw the product. Well, I could go on probably all night about all the great posts and up to the minute info you at Panini provide for us fans. Im gonna end this post with a Huge thank you to Tracy Hackler and everyone who has worked so hard to give us everything we need to be even more excited about our passion’s of sport card collecting! It really means alot to me, I want you to know that. No card company goes out like you guys do, to show you customer love and it needs to be noticed. Thanks for everything and keep up the excellent work, even though I think you guys already give us more then enough. Its seems Im always gasping for air, everytime you post new products. Been a Heck of year, and I know it will only get better. All the best to one of, if not my favorite blogs The Knights Lance 🙂

  42. I really enjoyed the father’s day contest where people were asked to recount their favorite memories of opening cards with their fathers. Just reading them all reminded me of where the love of collecting begins for most of us and makes me look forward to carrying on that tradition someday. Also I can’t give a specific but whatever post showed RG3 as a Redskin for the first time… HTTR.

  43. I thought it was enjoyable reading your frequent posts during this years National in Baltimore. You did a great job keeping everyone informed and up to date. Especially for those collectors that were unable to attend the National. I was lucky enough to go this year and still found the posts fun to read.

  44. Happy Anniversary!

Without a doubt, my favourite has been that cool contest you had for the release of the 11/12 Dominion Hockey. The two videos and unscramble the letters was a great idea and was lots of fun.

  45. My most memorable post was the exclusive signing of Blake griffin and watching him rip into some sweet panini product.:-)

  46. My favorite moment was the spotlight featuring Joshua Waldman and his Brian Leonard collection. I’ve worked with him on trades and a few other things in the past, and it was really quite a surprise to see his collection featured here. I had no idea it was coming!

  47. Way to have a blogoversary!

I am a huge fan of Panini Unwrapped, so makes sense that my two favorites are:
    1. Brad Ziegler and his Dad Greg – Father’s Day Special
Fun to see a Dad and son hanging, bustin’ wax and how I hope that is me and my son in the future.

    2. The Italian Hoops guys bustin’ Past & Present Basketball
They were very genuine and their knowledge was awesome. Love hearing the stories from Stefano. “Very close, to the mother company…”

  48. My favorite post was the Preview gallery of Limited Hockey. It was one of my favorite releases from football season but then when you got a hockey license, it made me that much more stoked for it’s release!

  49. I subscribed through Google Reader at the start of the Knight’s Lance. My favorite post was the announcement of the NFL sticker albums!

  50. I liked the story about Alshon Jeffery a week ago. It’s good to see the athletes reach out to the community who supports them, meeting with fans at the Learning Express. All this with a busted hand too! Way to go

  51. Wow!!! How do you pick one specific post when so many come to mind? I do know I always look forwards to the autograph contests – why hasn’t that appeared recently?? Those contests are the bomb and are responsible for half of my time on your site. That is what is most memorable for me. Either way, congrats to you Panini for revolutinizing the card industry when it needed it most. Here’s to 2 more years times a hundred for the future!!!! You have earned all of the accolades that you see here!!! Thanks Panini!!

  52. Wow! Well, happy 2-year blogoversary! My favorite blog posts:

#1-I know it is a shamless self-promoting plug, but my boys and I appeared in the National Convention Thursday Blog video from this past summer. About 15 seconds of pure hobby stardom, that was! That got me interested in the blog in the first place.

#2-Making of the Ryan Kessler game-used cards video. Totally cool!

#3-Off of that video, there was a related one showing how the Prime Numbers Die Cut cards from Elite were made with the laser. That was just a notch under the Kessler Stick card videos in my book!

Thanks for all of your blogs. They keep us all updated and informed.

  53. This blog has been a huge asset to the industry and I can think many times I’ve come here to see updates on the upcoming Panini sets. Makes it much easier coming here than hunting through 1,000’s of tweets or facebook posts. I can even search my e-mail since the posts are delivered to my inbox. My personal favorite post has been the Andy Dalton one earlier this year where he opened a box with Tracy.

  54. Never seen so many comments on the blog! Ha.

My favorite blog posts were from Ottawa last January, during the NHL All-Star game weekend. Pictures posted from the day 1 Fan-Fest pack redemptions showed a Limited Rick Nash shield 1/1 that I figured I had to track down. Day 2, I convinced the wife to go back to the Panini booth and do some asking around, and there I ran into the infamous Tracy Hackler. We had a great chat about the hobby and the Fan-Fest itself. He even had some into about the shield I was trying to track down. Just all sorts of fantastic. That shield is now in my Rick Nash PC. Thanks for all the posts guys, I always look forward to new ones, even when they aren’t hockey related.

    Rich

  55. My favorite moment was winning an Alshon Jeffery personal edition auto from the rookie premiere. It’s always special to get something that isn’t available in boxes.

Congrats on 2 years; looking forward to the next 2!

  56. I haven’t been a member for only a few months so I’m limited in what I can select from. So that being said I think the post that announced the signing of Andrew Luck ranks right up there. He fits perfectly into the Panini family. A stand up guy and player, who puts everyone before him, is the same philosophy Panini follows with its customers. And it says a lot about Panini having chosen a player with not only great character, but also a great role model for all kids and those who choose to follow in his path.

  57. Congratulations . Happy 2 year anniversary!
My son, Joshua, and I, our favorite moments
Are the posts that let us know what are coming in for the hobbies, thanks Tracy for always keeping us updated. Having also a chance to win is awesome and nice to see Panini does it and hopefully it continues, especially for us the hobby collector.
Kudos to all Panini staff for great job on making the products better and technologically advancing giving us unpresidented cards.
We are hoping and praying for more success to comes your way Panini!
Good luck and we love the Preview and the products very much!
    We love it…….
Thanks Panini again for making me and my son have something to share and collect while we bond and spend precious time opening packs, seeing the excitement of his face its what its all about.
    Thanks again!!!!

  58. The announcements about this year’s national redemptions – a really cool promo and a great value for those lucky enough to be at the national as well as those that couldn’t make it.

  59. The post that comes to mind (probably because it’s really recent) is the 2012 Prime Hockey with the laces from player’s jerseys. That is just genius. Panini is the most creative card company by a landslide. You have singlehandedly saved the sports card business with your new ideas and quality products. I can only hope that you acquire rights to produce MLB cards because, frankly, Topps ain’t getting the job done. You guys are clearly the gold standard in trading cards, and I look forward to many more years of Panini excellence. Happy anniversary!

  60. I also haven’t been a follower for the past few years, but the reason I originally came to this site was I stumbled upon the Father’s Day promotion that was announced, so that would have to be my favorite post.

    Happy 2nd anniversary!

  61. mine was probably the Dec. 8, 2010 blog titled “Constructing a cut autograph” it was cool seeing how cuts are made, and the attention to detail involved.

“Cuts” are probably one the the most sought after cards, and seeing them built from start to finish really re-instated the value that they bring.

Secondly was the Contenders football “gold card” watch ….. after seeing the cards in person it was fun tracking where they landed across North America 🙂

Thanks for the great contest 🙂

  62. I’ve really enjoyed reading all the blog posts over the last two years. They are informative and really entertaining. I have to agree with others that the Ryan Kesler stick post was really cool.

  63. When Panini did a series of posts covering their acquisition of on-card autographs for their 2011-12 Panini Preferred Set. Always interested in that behind-the-scenes type stuff.

  64. Thanks Panini:)
    1. Done-
    2. My favorite memory was today when I checked on the knight’s lance blog and found out that I won my first contest:)
    Thanks again Panini-

  65. Awesome Panini- Happy 2nd Anniversary:)
    1. Done-
    2. My favorite memory would definetly be the announcement of prime ties. With the laces on the cards. I was a little bummed that they were redemption cards but 1/1s!
Thanks for keeping the blog going-I appreciate it:)

  66. Happy 2nd birthday Panini Knight’s Lance Blog:)
    1. Always has and always will be done:)
    2. My favorite memory was the video on Ryan Kesler’s hockey stick being taken apart and put into the cards as stickside autos.
    Thanks again panini:)

  67. Thanks Panini for doing this giveeaway in memory of Panini’s 2nd Anniversary:)
    1. Done
    2. My favorite memory was thae article in 2010 about Tim Tebow’s card value going up. That really touched my heart because I am a major Tebow collector! It gives me great pain to see Mark Sanchez starting over Tebow (especially with how the Jets have been doing).
    Thanks again Panini!

  68. favorite post is the one defending the future of the hobby after the cbs news story proclaiming the death of the card industry.

  69. Thanks Panini! Happy 2nd Anniversar;)
    1. done
    2. My favorite memory would be the rookies & stars unwrapped episode. Mainly because it was a lot of fun to see you guys pull a Andrew Luck mem card.
    Thanks again Panini!

  70. How can the favorite post of the last two years, been here everyday since :), not be the dance craze known as “The Hackler” in the Justin Bieber Box break video. I still watch it.

  71. In looking back at the blog, several reasons why I like it come to mind:

1-behind the scenes videos. Love seeing how cards are made/packaged/etc. Unless you work for a card company, where else can we find such info?

2-Chances to win stuff. ‘Nuf said there!

3-Previews of upcoming products. Unfortunately, not as many cards shops left. Fewer card shows as well. It is tougher to be involved and find out what’s coming up than in years past. Even if I don’t collect a certain sport or type of product, it is cool to get info about it anyway. Who hasn’t checked out ebay a week or so after a product releases to see what the highest value hits were??

4-Hobby enthusiasm. I’ve been collecting since I was 9. I love the hobby overall. Spent my fair share over the years. Where else can I find like-minded people? Or, for that matter, a like-minded company? Right here, that’s where!

5-Asking questions. Many blog posts ask us what we think. It is nice to be able to give an opinion about something we care about to someone who is asking!!

All in all, I look forward to checking out this blog every day. Great stuff! Looking forward to more in the years to come.

    Thanks!!

  72. I don’t remember which break video it was specifically but the one where there was a ton of bloopers at the end. Was very hilarious! That moment definitely stands out to me!

  73. How do I pick just one post? No, seriously how am I supposed to pick just one post that is my favorite when every time you put basketball related news, photos, contests, only found here information and all things Panini basketball related I lose my mind because I love it all. The post regarding the lucky collector who found the golden ticket and got to meet the Black Mamba himself and then got all that incredible memorabilia has got to be *one* of my favorites. Keep it up and if I am fortunate enough to be chosen a box of Panini basketball–ANYTHING– would be amazing!!!! Thanks

  74. My favorite post from the past two years was the one in which you showed off some of Gordie Howe’s best cards from 11/12 Dominion – as a huge Red Wings fan, it was almost bittersweet to think of all those memorabilia pieces cut up but man did it make for some amazing cards!

  75. Best moments for me have to be Father’s Day w/ Zeiglers and National Coverage and giveaways. I just got back into collecting around father’s day b/c my 7 yr old son was interested. Since then, my son and I have been hooked – including a trip to the national where we got to meet some of the people from Panini and specifically the Knights Lance.

  76. There were several posts that stuck out, but I would say my favorite was the Guess the autograph contests….ahhh, so much time trying to figure those puppies out.

    Thanks,
    TROY

  77. I really liked the video which showed the journey of the game used hockey stick to the trading card! Keep up the great work Panini!

  78. Favorite Blog: The Big Reveal: HRX Autograph (July 12, 2011) My B-Day..

I had recently pulled a HRX card and posted asking whether or not the HRX cards have been sent out. Good ol Tracy hooked it up and got my video card sent out right away!

    Thanks Panini and Happy Blogoversary

  79. My favorite Panini moment is getting Kevin Durant to become and exclusive and watching him sign all those Thunder jerseys! I am hoping to hit big on this giveaway on the Knights Lance 2nd Birthday!

  80. My favorite post has to be of the collector who fell in love the genuine leather in the football cards and the news of the return of them in an insert set 🙂 i like the recent post about andrew luck signing on as well.

  81. My favorite was the post about Andrew Luck being part of an eliite Panini Authentic team with Kobe Bryant, Blake Griffin, and Kevin Durant.

  82. My favorite post was the certified video i know it just came up and i have been here longer than that but since you guys have Alfred Morris and are the only ones i think that is beyond awesoem

  83. One of my favorite moments on here would have to be the story that involved me. It was about me and my Mom going on our dream trip to LA to meet Kobe Bryant!! That was so special and something my Mom and I will never forget and it’s thanks to all of you guys at Panini! Congrats on 2 years too, it doesn’t feel like it. Man time flies! I was one of the first 10 subscribers on here and now look at how many there are! Grat job Tracy with the site!

  84. I’ve said this before, but it’s worth repeating, like, a thousand more times: Panini America has the hands-down greatest fans and collectors on the planet. Period. End of discussion.

    1. Because Panini America makes EVERYTHING to do with collecting their product SSOOO exciting…makes it very easy for us to Enjoy & keep collecting!:-) #JUST SAYIN’ 😉

  85. my favorite post has to be the one when it was announced that panini had signed an agreement with hockey legend gordie howe. what a great addition to an already great line of products.i also love the box breaks you guys do at the release of new products. i look forward to the email from the knights lance when this is about to happen. keep up the great work.

  86. Definitely the Fathers Day edition where we all posted our favorite memories collecting with our Dads. Humbled me how fortunate I am to be able to have the means to enjoy and collect the hobby.

  87. My favorite moment was the showing of the panini employee trading cards at the national. SO innovative and a nice surprise for collectors

  88. I just got back into collecting last year and found the blog by a lucky internet search. I’ve been a subscriber since.

My favorite moment(s) over the last year plus is and has always been the sneak peek posts you guys do. It’s always exciting to see the stuff you guys have coming down the pipeline. I also like the contests you guys do to keep everyone engaged. In reality, no matter what kind of product you guys put out, it doesn’t mean much without the community and cameraderie of the hobby that makes collecting fun (and made me want to get back into it). Winning every now and then doesn’t hurt either 🙂

Thanks for the work you guys do & for the fun & passion everyone seems to have for collecting!

  89. Loved anything that had to do with the NHL draft here in Pittsburgh. Especially since I was able to attend Day 2 and meet PaniniPuck and Scott Prusha at the redemption booth. 😉

  90. The post on taking Ryan Kessler’s stick from ice to card was awesome. It was so cool to see all of the behind the scenes work that goes into producing a quality product. Congrats on 2 years!

  91. My favorite Knight’s Lance’s posts has to be the Guess the Autograph. Those were always fun and challenging at times! I wish you guys would bring that back in the near future! Congrats on 2 years! yeyeye

  92. I love the pictures of the memorabilia leading up to the cutting process. Like with Prime Hockey, showing all the swatches in 2×3 inch form. Or when you receive some super dirty, stinky NFL jerseys and showing them off before they go under the knife. Great stuff!

  93. My favorite posts are the interviews with the rookies at the rookie premier. It’s a good way to get to know the players before you even start collecting them…..fun!!!!

  94. My favorite post from Knight’s Lance was the redemption program for the Toronto card expo. Since the expo is coming up in a few weeks, just thought of the great time I had at the Panini booth

  95. My favorite part of the past 2 years has been the awesome stories you guys do on collector’s PC’s. I was forturnate enough to have one done on my Steelers PC and It was truely an honor.

  96. My favorite post thus far has to be the 2012 Rookies & Stars unwrapped video. That has been my favorite product so far this year. Keep up the good work and thanks for all of the contests that you guys do!!!

  97. My favorite post can be summed up in 2 words. Laser Show

Loved the behind the scenes look showing how the cards were put together and how the laser went to work on the prime numbers cards in elite.

  98. The post I enjoyed the most was The First Look at 2010-11 Totally Certified Basketball’s Gold HRX 1/1s. Even though I did not get one I thought that they were totally cool.

  99. In love with panini black NFL and black’s beauties sneak peak was awesome pre ordered a case and broke up with my girlfriend over spending so much money, it will be worth it. Keep up the great work guys!

    1. Cards don’t judge, Chris. Cards just love you unconditionally. You take a box of… say, Contenders Football out for drinks? Will that box complain about other products? Will that box complain that it’s not getting enough attention? Almost certainly not. Good call Chris, “it’s all good in the cardboard ‘hood!” 🙂

  100. Congrats on the upcoming 2 year Blog B’Day. One of my favourite posts was the Gold Standard giveaway you did a month or two ago. It was rather fun searching through old posts for the competition.

Looking forward to the 29th of this month too.. RC Redemption Draft 🙂

  101. My favorite is actually a series, not a single post. I really enjoy the “Behind the Scenes” posts, specifically the ones detailing the steps of card design. It is so cool to see how the cards go from design to printing to being collated/organized and finally packed out.

  102. Wowsers two years already, that has blown by! You guys have put so much on the blog it is hard to pin down one moment that stand out. The product previews and Qc breaks are great to watch as are the interviews with Rookies, fans and your exclusive signers. However digging deep into the archives these videos require rewatching!

    1. Aww they did not link properly!! They should have started at suitably embarrassing points!! Incidentally if the band does not get back together for the Birthday I’ll riot!!! I’m sure nobody in Tasmania will have ANY idea what I’m on about but that’s their problem!!

  103. Without a doubt, for me , it was the announcement of the hrx cards. I missed out on the nba series the first go around but I plan on picking them up on the secondary market eventually. I did however purchase and redeemed the four nfl hrx cards ( dalton, ingram, newton, tebow) an extra ingram hrx as trade bait and hopefully my crown jewel of my pc a Tim Tebow autographed hrx card. It was the insert set that got me interested into football cards as I was a very casual fan before that. Thanks Panini!

  104. As I have mentioned a few times, I love looking the April 1, 2011 post entitled “Filthiest Mail Day Ever”. See dirty, grass stained game used jersey was the best blog post ever. Sick Sick Sick.

  105. My favorite post was when Panini Prestige Basketball 2012-13 was announced, because I had been sad that there was no Prestige 2011-12 due to lockout, so the last prestige and rookie cards we could get was Prestige 2010-11. I was excited to be able to collect basketball cards of the recent players and teams again when the product was announced, and all the posts surrounding the product(QC, galleries, giveaways.)

  106. My favorite blog posts are the redemption updates and anytime you have a video of how the cards are produced and memorabilia turned into trading cards. Love these posts!

  107. Haven’t been around as long as others. Only been seriously collecting since February or so.

My favorite post was the first preview for 2012 Prestige.

As I am a “noob” to the collectible card scene, I had marveled at how striking some of the card designs were. (Crown Royale, Contenders, etc.) Recent years’ Prestige in comparison were basically boring and not appealing to collect.

When I saw that preview, I was really blown away with the changes and loved them all. So far it is still my favorite Panini set of the year thus far. It really made the first set of the year stand out and get me excited for the whole cycle of 2012. I don’t buy by the case, but what I am able to pick up is always Panini and that post was one of the main reasons why I was so interested in the brand.

  108. My favorite posts were the guess the autograph contests. You had to be super fast in guessing or finding the autographs. The contests had me searching long and hard to figure out who they were. It also had collectors on message boards helping each other out an discussing. I also like all of the information posted via the blog as a central location. Keep up the good work and here’s to more years to come!

  109. The post with the two videos with 17 letters and a symbol. I spent so much time trying to unscramble the letters to form the “simple, fitting phrase” and couldn’t figure it out. I guess you’re most likely to remember the frustrating, negative ones than the positive ones! The announcement of the 2012 Panini Elite Extra Edition is a close second because it’s got my boy Byron Buxton in it (presumably) and I can’t wait!

  110. My favorite moment from Knight’s Lance was the Dominion Hockey contest. It was something different and hard. Didn’t even get the answer right lol.

  111. You guys and gals are absolutely tremendous! Thanks again for the invaluable feedback. The two winners today, as chosen with the help of random.org are . . . Darren and Alex. H. We’ll be in touch soon to get your addresses. Thanks again.

  112. I enjoyed all of the National Coverage. I was fortunate enough to go several years ago and really want to go back.

  113. My favorite was the Ryan Kesler stick to card video and not to mention the user submitted video which book ended the project. I’d love to see more of those behind the scene videos!

  114. Ive been following since it started, maybe one of the christimas episodes, or the blake griffin videos, well theres been a lot of videos……
