As the collecting world awaits tomorrow's opening of the 2014 National Sports Collectors Convention in Cleveland's I-X Center, it's safe to say that many of the collectors populating that world are most excited about the annual sensation known as Panini America's wrapper-redemption program. It's been a show-stealing National highlight for years, and one that generates incredible buzz throughout the show floor and jam-packed, weekend-long crowds in the Panini America booth.
As the collecting world awaits tomorrow’s opening of the 2014 National Sports Collectors Convention in Cleveland’s I-X Center, it’s safe to say that many of the collectors populating that world are most excited about the annual sensation known as Panini America’s wrapper-redemption program. It’s been a show-stealing National highlight for years, and one that generates incredible buzz throughout the show floor and jam-packed, weekend-long crowds in the Panini America booth.
In recent years, Panini America officials have raised the bar considerably in terms of the unique content incorporated into the show-specific sets, including some of the most unique memorabilia cards in the industry. This year that trend absolutely will continue, as evidenced by the massive preview gallery that follows.
Gloves, jerseys and hats worn by the top rookies of the 2014 season (as well as towels used by many of them during the 2014 NFLPA Rookie Premiere). Jerseys worn by the NBA’s top 2014 rookies during the 2014 NBA Draft Combine. Jerseys, hats and shoes worn by the most promising young players in the NBA. Jerseys worn by NBA superstars such as Kobe Bryant, Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, Blake Griffin and more. Jerseys worn by top MLBPA prospects during Panini America’s 2014 Spring Training Road Trip. That’s the short list (OK, so maybe it’s not so short) of the unique memorabilia cultivated for Panini America’s 2014 National Sports Collectors Convention wrapper-redemption set.
Throw in fan-favorite Cracked Ice and Lava Flow versions, as well as autographed parallels for many of the cards, and you have the makings of another instant classic. But we’ll let the following exhaustive preview gallery tell the story for us.
Enjoy the gallery and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for a full preview of the autographed cards randomly inserted into Panini America’s legendary silver-foil National packs.

Wow, very cool stuff once again. Any word on online component?
The cards look gorgeous! The lava flow cards are beauty’s! The lava flow from Kilauea Volcano is just as beautiful at night!
This will be my first National since Dallas in 1990. I look forward to seeing “The Best of The Best,” especially the Great Panini America promotions. Hope to see you Saturday Night.
All of these relic cards are very nice, but will there be any autos?
Woops…blinded by the patch goodness I blew right past the article…auto pics to come. My bad!
HOW ABOUT A FACEBOOK GIVEAWAY FOR THE FANS THAT CAN’T MAKE THE NATIONAL?
Any Wiggins or Parker?
Amazing stuff! I wish I could have made it to the National to take part in this.
Very nice…
Stellar gallery, these will be the talk of the Nationals for sure. I’ll be looking out for an online component soon, maybe even a giveaway right here on the blog too? Thanks Tracy!
drool.
I bought a lot of those cards they look very nice and pretty but Tracy they are very expensive at hobby sports card shops and on eBay they are barely affordable.Man they are going to be outrageously expensive once these guys like Wiggins and Parker also Embiid become All Stars.
