The Panini America NFLPA Rookie Premiere Recall: Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr.

It took some time -- perhaps a little more than New York Giants fans and collectors had anticipated -- but Odell Beckham Jr. finally made his presence felt with Big Blue in Week 5 of the 2014 NFL season. Healthy for the first time since training camp, Beckham Jr. caught four passes in his NFL debut last week, including one for the go-ahead touchdown in New York's 30-20 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. It was the kind of clutch performance Giants executives envisioned he'd deliver when they made him the 12th overall pick of the 2014 NFL Draft.

The third receiver selected in the draft behind Sammy Watkins and Mike Evans, Beckham Jr. first made a name for himself at storied LSU, where he caught 141 passes for for 2,305 yards and 12 touchdowns in three seasons. He also proved to be a game-changer in the return game, too. Add it all up (the ability, the Big Apple and the first-round selection) and it’s easy to see why Beckham Jr. has been high on most collectors wishlists since early May. Now that he’s finally producing on the field, the sky’s the limit.

Beckham Jr.’s performance against the Falcons earned him a 2014 Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week nomination. Tonight in a huge NFC East showdown against the Philadelphia Eagles, Beckham will look to replicate the feat.
