The Panini America Quality Control Gallery: 2012-13 Absolute Basketball (85 Sweet Pics)
The hobby hits keep coming on the Panini America basketball court. Indeed, when 2012-13 Absolute Basketball releases tomorrow, it will mark the continuation of one of most most torrid scoring streaks in hoops hobby history, a month-long span that has seen the launch of 2012-13 Totally Certified, 2012-13 Prizm and 2012-13 Limited.
Now along comes Absolute — after a year away — to add yet another unique twist to one of the most collectible NBA seasons in recent memory. The Absolute recipe is well-known, and includes a generations-spanning checklist, a must-see ensemble of memorabilia cards and autographs from rookies, current stars and the game’s greatest legends.
In addition to a stunning new batch of designs (check out the Legends subset and Heroes autographs for just two examples), Panini America officials have tweaked things a bit for 2012-13 by delivering three autographs and one memorabilia card in every four-pack box.
Last week, in between getting 2012-13 Limited Basketball to market and readying both Absolute and the upcoming 2012-13 Timeless Treasures Basketball, two key pieces of Panini America’s NBA brain trust — Keith Hower and Wes Elliott — performed the QC check for the new-look Absolute.
What follows are just some of the sweet results from that process.
Enjoy, and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for more information on tomorrow’s release of 2012-13 Absolute Basketball.
