The Panini America Quality Control Gallery: 2012 Prominence Football (Part 1)

It's a busier-than-normal day here at the Panini America production facility. While the Panini America hockey team is sequestered just down the hall hand-packing 2011-12 Dominion Hockey, NFL brand manager Aik Tongtharadol is running point on the quality-control process for the dazzling new 2012 Prominence Football.

While the Panini America hockey team is sequestered just down the hall hand-packing 2011-12 Dominion Hockey, NFL brand manager Aik Tongtharadol is running point on the quality-control process for the dazzling new 2012 Prominence Football.

Due out in hobby shops next week, Prominence delivers a diverse and enjoyable collecting experience bolstered by a generation-spanning checklist and highlighted by at least two autographs and one memorabilia card in every box.

But easily the most compelling aspect of 2012 Prominence Football is a unique Rookie Card program that incorporates five of Panini America’s most beloved RC concepts and devotes them to each of the 35 young superstars who attended the 2012 NFLPA Rookie Premiere: Autographed Nameplate LettersAutographed NFL Team Field PlatesAutographed Team Logo PatchesAutographed NFL Team Helmets and Autographed Event-Worn Jersey Cards.

Each Rookie Card subset will be numbered to matching quantities, creating five unique Rookie Cards for each of the 35 featured players.

We’ll have much more on 2012 Prominence Football in the coming days. But for now, enjoy part one of our massive QC gallery.

  1. Looks like many of the key rookie auto subsets from other releases rolled into one, great concept! One of the big decisions collectors often face is what product to buy in search of key inserts and Prominence seems to make that choice far easier. Thanks for the gallery Tracy!

  2. Nice touch with the home field image! Are you allowed to use actual image of field with mid-field logo? Would look even better!

  3. I like the gallery..but where are the G-men???? Always have enjoyed the autographed field rookie autos and the letter signatures!

  4. looks like they’re basically making epix a lot cooler and not so cheap-looking. Nice work. I was going to stop buying panini (minus Absolute which I can’t keep my hands off of) because of an issue getting a dinged Newton Contenders auto replaced with another dinged one, but Momentum and this may just bring me back….that Andrew Luck auto out of my first box of Momentum sure helped too LOL
