The hobby’s seemingly unending love affair with Panini America’s Prizm technology began just more than one year ago with the blockbuster release of 2012-13 Prizm Basketball, a product that paved the way for similar successful splashes in football, hockey and baseball — and heightened expectations considerably for what Panini America’s NBA team could possibly do for an encore.

Thirteen months later, that team is on the verge of providing a resounding answer with 2013-14 Prizm Basketball, a simply fantastic followup to last year’s debut that includes new parallels and designs tailored to the brilliance of the Prizm technology.

New key inserts such as Postseason and Hall Monitors inject the brand a fresh feel, and the Prizm parallels — the brilliant Golds, the retail Greens and the stunning new Red, White and Blue Pulsars — still command extended attention. In short, 2013-14 Prizm Basketball provides a triumph as far as encores go, and it will be out everywhere the day after Christmas. The following Quality Control Gallery provides your first extended look at the product. Enjoy, and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for additional coverage of 2013-14 Prizm Basketball.

  1. absolutely outstanding! whats the stand on that red white and blue prizm?? is it a paralell an insert..case hit or will it be 1 per pox???? Love it

  2. Prizm is becoming my favorite product in Football too. The Red White ans Blue may be the coolest card I have ever seen. I’ve been busting a ton of retail football just to get the camo, reds, and blues. They are great!

  3. Last year’s Prizm was simply an amazing set that blew up on the market. I like most of the color additions. I just hope you guys stop at this current amount of colors in the coming years releases. Doubt it will happen though. I don’t want to see it turn into Topps Chrome with 500 colored inserts that have no meaning.

I believe somewhere I read rumors about Jerseys being added into Prizm for Memorabilia cards. Is this true?

Can’t wait to bust a box.
