The Panini America Quality Control Gallery: 2013-14 Rookie Anthology Hockey (84 Pics)

Panini America NHL Brand Manager Chris Barr was it again earlier this week, dispensing his own unique brand of hockey hobby hysteria throughout the social media universe with another of his riveting takeovers of the Panini America Twitter account. Panini America NHL Brand Manager Chris Barr was it again earlier this week, dispensing his own unique brand of hockey hobby hysteria throughout the social media universe with another of his riveting takeovers of the Panini America Twitter account. This time, Barr kicked off our Monday morning by providing live Twitter coverage of the packout process for 2013-14 Rookie Anthology Hockey.
Judging by the content of Barr’s Tweets and the reactions they received from hockey collectors across North America, hockey’s preeminent update set is dressed to impress yet again — perhaps for the final time. In addition to providing must-have Rookie Cards from the Rookie Anthology brand, the product also provides stunning new additions to Panini America’s fan-favorite RC subsets from the likes of Select, Prizm, Crown Royale, Dominion and more.

If you missed Barr’s Twitter takeover on Monday morning, we’ve provided just a few of the highlights below. Afterward, stick around for a more comprehensive recap of the Quality Control process that continued long after Barr relinquished controls of the corporate Twitter handle.

Now, enjoy the rest of the 2013-14 Rookie Anthology Hockey Quality Control Gallery. After the images, we’ve also provided a link to the product checklist.

As promised, here’s the checklist: 2013-14 Rookie Anthology Checklist

    1. No bonus pack this year. Just lots of extra goodies. With the huge addition of Dominion and the strength of the double rookie class, this product is already loaded. Instead of a bonus pack, there’s additional hits in most boxes. Some have up to 6 hits per box. The majority have at least 5.

  1. Are you sure you don’t want to release 5 more products to make my card buying decision even tougher. I mean Prime. National Treasures, Playbook I can’t possibley buy all the great items you are putting out there. Maybe you should sent me a box for further quality controll. Ya thats it. And maybe a couple of fathers day packs (that I know you guys are working on) I would be happy to help out.

  2. Let’s see now I need to buy Rookie Anthology, Prime, National Treasures, …. yeah I didn’t need to buy a new house this year LOL. You guys are rocking it.

This stuff is rediculously deep. I feel like it has been a long time since a new Panini hockey product, I can’t wait to get my hands on this stuff. That case break was awesome.
Thanks for keep rolling it out all year,
    T

    1. As the Score Red Back were a Jumbo exclusive and Red Borders were rack pack exclusives, the updates will not have those variations as Rookie Anthology is packaged in just the single hobby configuration.

      1. Alright. Kinda wish the Score cards in this could have had the full rainbow effect as the ‘normal’ cards had, but I can understand because of how the product is packaged.

  4. I have always loved this brand. I like the fact it combines many of my favorite Panini products and packs it into one. I would love to see this concept in other sports as well.

  5. Loveeeee this product and cant wait till its out 🙂 We just did a 4 box break of 11/12+12/13 RA @hobbybox604 to celebrate the new release of 13/14 🙂
    Doin a case of 13/14 on sunday,cant waaaait….
Thanks Chris Barr,Thanks Tracey Hackler,u guys are aweeeesome :))

    1. The NBA Finals promotion will be back in a big way and will tipoff in just a day or two. The NHL contest will not be back, but look for some special inclusions in Father’s Day.

  6. I noticed a few black prizm autos – like the Merrill. is there a stated print run on those? Thanks
