Without question, 2013-14 Score Hockey has a lot going for it. And as we head into the Fourth of July holiday, we thought we’d start the fireworks a little early with an explosive first look at the retail version of the product, which the Panini America NHL Product Development team quality controlled late last week.

The team is working on the hobby Jumbo QC now as both versions of the product steadily skate toward their highly anticipated July 24 release date. We’ll have much more on 2013-14 Score Hockey right here on The Knight’s Lance in the coming days. But for now, enjoy this broad exploration of the retail product with its vaunted Hot Rookies (and their sparkling new “Dual RC Class” logos), its sterling autograph content and its enchanting display of the NHL’s essence.

    1. Here’s the breakdown for the different 2013-14 Score Hockey configurations:

Retail: $1.99/pack – 12 cards per pack, 36 packs per box (one auto per box, one Gold parallel per pack)
Rack Pack: $4.99/pack – 52 cards per pack, 12 packs per box (two Golds, two rack-pack-exclusive Red parallels)
Hobby Jumbo: $9.99 per pack – 52 cards per pack, 10 packs per box (six Gold parallels per pack, two autos per box, one Team 8s jersey card per box)
Blaster: $20/box – 12 cards per pack, 11 packs per box

  1. Amazing photography and Score is always a fan favorite.
going to be a great #paninidoublerookieclass for hockey

  2. hey tracy, any word on when you guys will release the checklist for 2012-13 limited rookie redemptions and when we can expect to start seeing them in the mail. thanks and can’t wait to get my hands on some new 13-14 score.

  3. Tracy, I can’t wait for the release of 13-14 Score hockey! With the double rookie class this year the set is going to be amazing! I think it will be the best year of Score hockey. The base cards have been amazing throughout it’s years. This year’s base cards continue to be amazing.

Great job Panini and keep up the good work!

  4. Great job! Looking forward to this one! Tracy, any chance you can show one of the 8-piece jersey cards?

  5. why does score have the double rookie class logo? IS there redemptions for the 13/14 rookies or will it be an update in anthology because otherwise its just have the rookie class.
not that I care will crack regardless.

  6. All I have to say is that Score is the single greatest accomplishment in the Sports Card industry. Why? Because in an age where all people seem to want are products that cost more than my car payment PER BOX (and only have 5 cards in that box), you’ve managed to continue to produce an affordable product that only seems to increase in quality.

I will say I’m a little disappointed that Score Hockey has lost its $1 a pack price point, but the inclusion of autos and relics is a big upswing. Great job, Tracy and the Panini team!

  7. Tracy,

Can we open this at the National for the promo packs?

Thanks in advance, see you in 3 weeks….

    Ryan

  8. Tracy,
First off the Hot Rookie images are so sharp, great work by the Panini staff. You know I cannot wait for the Galchenyuk, Huberdeau, and Campbell autos, this stuff with that price is going to be awesome to tear open ox after box. Couple questions:
    1. For the hobby preview images can you show the Galchenyuk, Huberdeau, and Campbell autos too?
    2. How many Hot Rookies will be in each Retail, Rack Pack, or Hobby box? Will some be short printed more than others?
    Thanks,
    T

  9. This season’s Score is the by far best one ever! I will definitely buy at least one box and pray to God that I have money enough for another one.. I have to collect the base and rookie sets at least, they are sick and sharp looking! Great work!

  10. I pulled a red back galchenyuk from a fat pack. These are obviously different from rack pack exclusive red parallels, what are the odds to get these from jumbo. I opened a case and only got one

  11. What is the configuration of the retail rack box? Are a certain number of autographs or jersey cards or do these boxes have only base and parallel cards?
