In two short days, Panini America officials will release a new-look 2013 Limited Football that features a preponderance of revamped elements headlined by a striking, bronze-based base card, multiple levels of spot-on Spotlight parallels, a nicely overhauled Rookie Phenoms autograph RC design and perhaps the most creative use of acetate you’ll see all season on the unique Field Vision insert.

But despite all of these enhancements, many collectors likely will place more importance on the return of game-dated game-worn memorabilia cards that include the exact date a featured piece of jersey was worn on the front of each Game Day Materials card. Of course, there’s also the return of the now-legendary Limited Cuts and Pen Pals multi-autographed inserts.

2013 Limited Football releases on Wednesday, which means Panini America officials spent a good portion of last week quality controlling the product and readying it for release. The following QC Gallery showcases some of the gems unearthed during the process. Enjoy the gallery — and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for additional coverage of 2013 Limited Football.

  1. Awesome awesome cards but I’m still waiting for an on card 2013 panini rookie auto patch to come out. Once one does I will buy it.

    1. The Playbook booklet autos are all on card. Not sure if that’s what you meant, but figured I’d point that out of you were unaware.

  2. my favorite limited was 2011 because of the team name die-cuts in the rookie phenom patch autos..SO SLICK. but this years patches look bigger. all in all great design cant wait til it comes out!

  3. Pretty sure that’s the first 2013 game photo of Josh Boyce to appear on a card. But more exciting is the way that C Michael patch lines up perfectly with the limited logo in the middle…

  4. They put the Limited logo and RC right in the middle of the patches? Why block out and take attention away from the nicer parts of the card. You had some nice patches broken up for what? We know it was Limited. We opened it. 🙂 (Not trying to be harsh)
