It seems only fitting as we enter one of the most prominent and exciting weeks on the calendar every year (Week 1 of a new NFL season) that we bring you the exciting first glimpses of 2013 Prominence Football, Panini America’s newest NFL product that releases nationally one week from tomorrow.

Picking up where last year’s debut left off, 2013 Prominence Football once again offers a multifaceted approach to Rookie Cards, featuring the league’s top first-year players on five unique formats: Rookie Field Plates Signatures, Rookie Gridiron Gems Signatures, Rookie Class Letter Signatures, Rookie Helmet Signatures, Rookie Embroidered Team Logo Patch Signatures and Rated Rookie Embroidered Patch Signatures (all numbered to 249 or less).

The addition of the Rated Rookie Embroidered Patches offers a nice twist to Prominence in its second year, as do the first pull-up-from-the-top Rookie Hidden Gems Signatures. Over the long holiday weekend, Panini America’s Joseph Mackey and Aik Tongtharadol spent quality time quality controlling 2013 Prominence Football and the fruits of their labor can be seen in their entirety in the gallery that follows.

  1. very nice.

    much better than last year’s.

nice to see some pullouts of non-RPS guys.

and the vet autos /999 that won’t be impossible to pull.

    but STILL NO K THOMPKINS!?

  2. 2012 Prominence was an excellent product that delivered a rookie class on astounding card stock, great designs, and absolutely elegant presentation. One of my favorite cards was the “NFL Field Autographs”. From what I see displayed in the 84 pics above, I expect nothing less this year and I am ready to purchase several 2013 Prominence hobby boxes.

  3. Nice and crisp looking cards. Very cool to see different Raider rookies being featured with Latavius Murray and Brice Butler. Fingers crossed for a Sio Moore and Menelik Watson auto soon too.

  4. I may be alone in this thinking but I wish those unique cards would go back to the brands they started from, such as the Letters going back to Threads or the Team patch autos going back to Rookies and Stars. With them combined into one product it makes the new RPA’s in each of those products start to look similar.

  5. I really like what this product brought last year. I see so many complaints about manufactured patch autos. But to be honest, I like em a lot. So I ignore them lol. I think this looks great with the mix and match of autos from a variety of sports.

  6. A nice-looking product again this year. BUT I am very disappointed in the quality of the so-called signatures signed by this rookie class! If you look, over half of these “signatures” are just initials at best. Collectors pay good money to get these autographs and I think it’s a really big problem this year. In other years, you would have a couple of guys that did this but it looks like the 2013 rookie class are the laziest signers ever! Phillip Thomas of the Resdkins should get an award for being the only guy who seems to care how he signs his name. These kids need to take a lesson from the legends of the game who always took the time to sign a full, legible autograph. These scrawled initials are NOT autographs and collectors are getting short-changed because of it!

      1. Aw come on Tracy, this is one of the lowe priced products I loved! Everyone cant afford the 1 to 4 pack things! I know some don’t want base, but I liked Gridiron! Will Gridiron Kings be in any of the products this year? Also, there needs to be a full Crusade set. I pulled RGIII and I love the card!
