The Panini America Quality Control Gallery: 2014-15 Luxe Basketball (36 Must-See Pics)

As the late August blaze continues its sweltering run through North Texas, it's fitting that Panini America officials are ending the summer on a similar hot streak when it comes to the final stages of the 2014-15 NBA collecting portfolio. Even as last week's release of 2014-15 National Treasures Basketball continues its torrid ways on the secondary market, company officials and collectors also are readying more high-end heat to hit the market.

As the late August blaze continues its sweltering run through North Texas, it’s fitting that Panini America officials are ending the summer on a similar hot streak when it comes to the final stages of the 2014-15 NBA collecting portfolio. Even as last week’s release of 2014-15 National Treasures Basketball continues its torrid ways on the secondary market, company officials and collectors also are readying more high-end heat to hit the market.

The international-only 2014-15 Gala Basketball should start arriving in foreign destinations in the coming days, followed closely by next Wednesday’s North American release of 2014-15 Luxe Basketball. To date, previews of 2014-15 Luxe Basketball have been relatively light, with the exception of the preliminary product information and an early look at some of the first autograph returns. Today, we’re going to take a look at just some of the results from the recently completed Quality Control process.

Each four-card box of 2014-15 Luxe Basketball will deliver three on-card autographs and one jumbo-prime memorabilia card; the product also features the first metal-bordered cards in Panini America’s history (Luxe Autographs). Every card produced for Luxe will be numbered to 99 or less and will include either an on-card autograph, a jumbo piece of memorabilia or both.

Check out the Quality Control Gallery below to gain a greater understanding of the product and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for continued coverage of 2014-15 Luxe Basketball.

  1. Luxe looks amazing! I can’t wait to bust open a few boxes next week! Love the metal framed autos and the jersey autos design. Actually i love it all. Keep up the great work Panini

  2. All the cards with Silver ink are streaked…the rest of the gallery is relatively unimpressive. A lot of players that will be $15-20 in the QC gallery. I can almost guarantee Panini Points will be in the packs and where are the pics of Logo Patches (hornets face, Wolves head etc) I didn’t see any logoman cards and for $1300 a case do you make your money back if you don’t pull a Wiggins RPA? I’ll stick to Nat’l Treasures and leave this on the shelf. Now that I think of it…where is the pic of the Wiggins RPA?? or will that be for sale on the website via Panini Points??
