Since becoming an official partner of the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in early 2012, Panini America has delivered a strong string of trading-card tributes to the baseball shrine and its legendary membership that has included 2012 Cooperstown Baseball, 2013 Cooperstown Baseball and 2014 Hall of Fame 75th Anniversary Baseball. On Wednesday, the company will deliver its cleanup hitter: 2015 Cooperstown Baseball.

Boasting perhaps its best-ever base-card design, the Cooperstown debut of the legendary Babe Ruth, a stacked hard-signed autograph roster and the stunning Etched In Cooperstown micro-etched insert that includes rare precious-gem-embedded versions, it’s safe to say that 2015 Cooperstown Baseball is dressed to impress.

Each 12-card box of 2015 Cooperstown Baseball will deliver two autographs (from a roster that features signatures from the newest class of inductees in Randy Johnson, John Smoltz, Craig Biggio and Pedro Martinez), captivating photography from the Hall of Fame archives, and the possibility of pulling rare color variations and other collection-making stunners.

2015 Cooperstown Baseball also includes Autographed BuyBacks of original Cooperstown and Hall of Fame cards and Printing Plate 1/1s from previous releases.

In the expansive Quality Control Gallery that follows, we bring you a little bit of everything the product has to offer when it arrives in hobby shops across North America on Wednesday. Enjoy the first look and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for continued coverage of 2015 Cooperstown Baseball.

  1. I loved the clean, really special autograph component that was woven into the previous iteration of Cooperstown Collection. That was what made the product special.

This year, however, I have a hard time identifying the set i covet most. I choose to go with the classic, Diamond Kings parallel. The “Etched in Cooperstown Collection also looks really sharp.

  2. I cannot stand the cropping of the heads to not show the capp’ logos. It’s a bit irritating to look at.
