The Panini America Quality Control Gallery: 2015 Prizm Collegiate Draft Picks Football

The 100 or so local hobby shop owners who participated in last week's third annual Panini America GTS Distribution event in conjunction with the NFLPA Rookie Premiere got more than they bargained for -- and that was before they got the chance to rub elbows with top rookies Jay Ajayi, Garrett Grayson, Justin Hardy, Ty Montgomery, Todd Gurley, Tyler Lockett, Melvin Gordon and Amari Cooper.

The 75 or so local hobby shop owners who participated in last week’s third annual Panini America GTS Distribution event in conjunction with the NFLPA Rookie Premiere got more than they bargained for — and that was before they got the chance to rub elbows with top rookies Jay Ajayi, Garrett Grayson, Justin Hardy, Ty Montgomery, Todd Gurley, Tyler Lockett, Melvin Gordon and Amari Cooper.

Indeed, before the players arrived to participate in an engaging Q&A session, sign autographs and pose for photos, a packed ballroom full of hobby shop retailers participated in a world-premiere preview break of Panini America’s upcoming 2015 Prizm Collegiate Draft Picks Football courtesy of hot-off-the-presses cases expedited from Dallas to L.A. for that express purpose.

The feedback from the group? “They thought it was really strong — a much improved Prizm product,” said Kevin Haake, Panini America’s Hobby Sales Director.

Or, as Ajayi noted when he saw one of his Stained Glass insert cards from the set later that afternoon: “These are really nice.”

Ajayi’s right. They are nice — and you can see that for yourself in the massive Quality Control Gallery that follows. 2015 Prizm Collegiate Draft Picks Football is bolstered by compelling photography, a vibrant array of colorful parallels, some way-cool die-cuts and a deep checklist that covers both top prospects and NFL veterans in their college uniforms.

Each 12-pack hobby box will deliver at least two autographs (although some boxes have three autographs), 24 Draft Picks, six Prizms, one Stained Glass and three additional inserts. We’ll have much more on 2015 Prizm Collegiate Draft Picks Football in the coming days leading up to next Wednesday’s official release.

Until then, though, enjoy this extended sneak peek.

  1. Wow I’m in love. As a Mountaineer that Kevin White(in WVU uni) auto is sweet. DeVante Parker’s card was a beauty as well. Then I see the Jay Ajayi Trademarks autograph and slightly drooled. I will be breaking some this hoping for one of them. Nice job Panini!!

  2. Generally not a fan of these. That’s okay though, since I really love the die-cut helmets and “alumnus autographs”

  3. Sucks that all the autos are sticker because the cards have a real nice space for players to really sign some good signatures instead of the chicken scratches we always get by the end of the year. I’m a fan of Prizm baseball, love the two autos (one on-card one not), good low numbered parallels, and the ability to get vet or retired autos for a fair price.

I’ll be waiting on this product till Black Friday so I can get my Panini Black Friday packs. It’s a cheap break with a chance to hit good since it’ll be around $60 a box and I’ll get promo packs. WIN WIN

  4. Looks like everything we know and love about Prizm is included in this release, excellent array of inserts and parallels shown in this gallery. The Defense die cut subset is a nice addition as well. Thanks Tracy!

  5. Did I see in one of the preview breaks that there is a Kam Chancellor card in this set??? GO HOKIES!!! (Also – love the Antonio Gates basketball card in there. Nice!)

  6. I am not a fan of NFL players in flashback college uni’s, but I like the rookies and have always been a huge fan of Prizm.
