The Panini America Quality Control Gallery: 2016-17 National Treasures Basketball

For many hardcore hoops hobbyists, the countdown to Panini America's 2016-17 National Treasures Basketball release officially started just days after 2015-16 National Treasures Basketball dried up completely. Over the course of the last 11 months, the 2016 NBA Draft, the 2016 NBA Rookie Photo Shoot and the on-court ascendency of the brightest stars in the class have only fanned the flames of aNTicipation. Of course, we've done our fair share here on The Knight's Lance to build the buzz, too.

For many hardcore hoops hobbyists, the countdown to Panini America’s 2016-17 National Treasures Basketball release officially started just days after 2015-16 National Treasures Basketball dried up completely. Over the course of the last 11 months, the 2016 NBA Draft, the 2016 NBA Rookie Photo Shoot and the on-court ascendency of the brightest stars in the class have only fanned the flames of aNTicipation. Of course, we’ve done our fair share here on The Knight’s Lance to build the buzz, too.

But now, with the product set to hit exactly one week from today, it’s time to ramp up our previewing efforts. This time next week, 2016-17 National Treasures Basketball will arrive in hobby shops across North America to an eager audience. In the Quality Control Gallery that follows, you’ll see just some of the reasons for the excitement.

On average, each 10-card box of 2016-17 National Treasures Basketball will deliver four autographs, four memorabilia cards, one base or parallel card and one Printing Plate 1/1. RPAs will fall roughly two per case on average and the product includes the first Panini America autographs of Ben Wallace and Shawn Marion.

There’s also one other major surprise that involves 2016-17 National Treasures Basketball autographs . . . but we’ll get to that on Monday.

Until then, enjoy this glorious exploration of this year’s release, including a bonus gallery at the end showcasing the results of our recent signing session with Dallas Mavericks superstar Dirk Nowitzki.
