Set to arrive in hobby shops across North America on Wednesday, the product offers collectors a bold new twist on one of the most venerable brands in baseball history.

The Panini America Baseball Product Development team spent a good chunk of last week overseeing the Quality Control and Packout processes for 2016 Donruss Optic Baseball and the resulting gallery that follows offers a deep dive into a vivid reimagination.

On average, each hobby box (four cards per pack, 20 packs per box) will deliver two autographs (including at least one on-card), 10 Diamond Kings, 10 Rated Rookies, three numbered parallels, six inserts and 13 additional parallels.   1. I have an old 83 Donruss San Diego Chicken auto card. He came to Midnight Madness at The University of Kentucky, back in 1983. I was more thrilled with meeting him, than I was seeing the UK players.
