Say this about Panini America’s hit-filled Plates & Patches Football franchise: It lives up to its name in a huge way by delivering a wealthy share of Plates (one Printing Plate 1/1 is included in each box) and Patches across the production run. It’s a product with a proud history that helps round out Panini America’s NFL portfolio every year. It’s primed to do that again tomorrow with the release of 2017 Plates & Patches Football.

On average, each hobby box of 2017 Plates & Patches Football (five cards per box, 12 boxes per case) will deliver one Printing Plate 1/1, one autograph, one memorabilia card and one parallel numbered to 75 or less. As you’ll see in the revealing Quality Control Gallery that follows, 2017 Plates & Patches Football is equipped with a chase-worthy array of Rookie Patch Autographs. But that impressive Rookie Card lineup is bolstered by signatures from some of the biggest current superstars and greatest legends in the game.

One other compelling aspect of 2017 Plates & Patches Football? The base-set photography, especially on retired legends such as Archie Manning (Minnesota Vikings), Tony Dorsett (Denver Broncos), Ed Reed (New York Jets), Franco Harris (Seattle Seahawks) and so many more who are pictured with teams for which you just may have forgotten they played.

Check it all out in the imagery that follows and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for continued coverage. 2017 Plates & Patches Football arrives in hobby shops across North America tomorrow.

  1. I have a Jarrad Davis Printing Plate from 2017 Gold Standard football and MAGENTA PLATE is in Magenta? Is this an error as other Magenta plates don’t have the letter’s showing red?
