The Panini America Quality Control Gallery: 2020-21 Contenders Optic Basketball

Panini America is driving another new-wax Wednesday this week with the release of both 2020-21 Contenders Optic Basketball and 2021 XR Football in hobby shops across North America. Both products are sure to be well-received but for different reasons and we’ll provide Quality Control Gallery preview posts for both products over the next few days, beginning with 2020-21 Contenders Optic Basketball.

On average, each hobby box (six cards per box, 10 boxes per inner case, two inner cases per master case) will deliver one autograph, two inserts and two parallels. Additional highlights of the product are many and include . . .

• Each Contenders Optic hobby box contains one autograph. Look for on-card autographs in Rookie Season Ticket, Rookie Variation Season Ticket, Veteran Ticket and 1983 Tribute Autograph.
• Find popular inserts such as Uniformity, Lottery Ticket and Superstars along with new insert sets, including Hoop Dreams, Team Tandems, Pick n Roll and Suite Shots.
• Search for a variety of parallels including Silver, Red, Blue (numbered to 99), Orange (numbered to 49), Green Pulsar (numbered to 25), Black Pandora, Gold (numbered to 10) and Gold Vinyl 1/1. Also, find insert parallels Red and Blue Cracked Ice.
• Look for the hobby-exclusive SSP Black Pandora Parallels.
