The Panini America hockey team -- veteran puckheads Al Muir and Clint Hall -- made history on Friday by becoming the first two people on the planet to bust the history-making first boxes of 2010-11 Playoff Contenders Hockey. (Some guys have all the luck.)

For the record, their enviable opening ceremony was work-related. Muir and Hall were conducting the quality control process for the highly anticipated product that begins shipping early next week.

Luckily for all of us, they shared some of their findings with us in the form of a massive gallery. Since it’s late in the day on Friday, we’ll showcase some of their pulls now. But you’ll have to return to The Knight’s Lance on Saturday for the rest of this revealing sneak peek.

  2. These cards look GREAT!! I have usually only collected football, basketball,and baseball cards, but i just bought my first box of hockey cards a month ago [limited] and now im hooked! I cant wait to bust a few boxes of this! Hoping for the Taylor Hall or Eberle but Crosby would be great too! Keep up the great work Panini!

  5. good lookin stuff, ive already preordered a box at my local shop, cant wait to bust it. im still on the hunt for a seguin that equals the hall and eberle rcs i have. so i hope that my box of this will provide that, but even if it doesnt it looks as tho i will get some cool lookin inserts. GO BRUINS!
