The Routing Table Revisited: Continuing our Examination of 2011 Panini Americana

In the interest of complete transperancy, know that it was our intention to show more Routing Table images of the upcoming 2011 Panini Americana set than the eight we posted on Sunday morning.

But here’s the deal: The Internet signal at my father-in-law’s lake house is virtually nonexistent. So I ducked out undetected early Sunday morning and ventured 10 miles or so into the tiny North Texas town of Nocona in search of better reception. What I found was a meager two-bar signal that allowed me to load eight images in 30 minutes.

Today, back in the cozy confines of Panini America’s WiFi wonderland, I’m able to load all the other sneak peeks I wanted to share on Sunday without the family getting suspicious regarding my whereabouts.

From the all-time legends of the silver screen (including James Dean, Lillian Gish and Doris Day) to the sit-com stylings of “Welcome Back, Kotter” and “Dukes of Hazzard,” the following gallery provides a quaint scene-setter for the true must-see entertainment blockbuster that arrives July 27.

  1. Not to sound morose, but the number of deceased individuals with autographs in this set is amazing, just from the pictures above–Dom DeLuise, Corey Haim, Leslie Nielsen. I’m sure I saw Jane Russell among those with autographs in an earlier entry as well. I’m definitely in for a few boxes when Americana is released.

  2. I like the Celebrity Cuts design the signatures will work well and I really love the dual-auto Dukes of Hazzard card you posted up awhile back but by far I love the Matinee Legends. I don’t know what it is but the design is mesmorizing to me. I actually like them without the relic inserted. I am not sure if I will be able to pick up a box when it is released in a few weeks but I will be watching for singles.

I have not been able to find a checklist yet will there be one available soon?
