The Sooner, The Better: Previewing DeMarco Murray’s Upcoming Autographed RCs

Was it just coincidence that Dallas Cowboys rookie running back DeMarco Murray went out and rushed for a franchise single-game record 253 yards in a victory over the St. Louis Rams just days after visiting Panini America HQ to sign some of his upcoming Rookie Cards? We think not.

Indeed, we’d like to think Murray’s breakout performance Sunday — which earned him a nomination in this week’s Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week contest — was inspired by his desire to inject even more value into what must be considered some of the most stunning RCs of the season.

During his visit last week, Murray signed bona fide show-stoppers for upcoming Panini America releases such as 2011 Gold Standard Football, 2011 Certified Football and 2011 Playoff Contenders Football. Oh, and he also inked a few copies of his insert cards for the juggernaut known as 2011 National Treasures Football. (Yes, we included a sneak peek of those beauties below, too.)

And just in case you missed the exclusive interview Murray did with Panini America’s Chris Reed during his visit, you can check that out right here.

  1. Wow, a first National Treasures preview? Looks great.

All of these look amazing. Way better than that absolute mess Topps Chrome with their sticker autos and combine photos. Well done, Panini.
