Uncover the Secret of Panini’s WNBA Mystery Redemptions

Among the key thrills at the core of the collecting hobby is the mystery. Every fresh pack rip leads to questions of which players come next, on what type of cards — and which type of parallel is that shimmering back there?

For the 2025 WNBA season, Panini upped the mystery meter to 11. Inserte into various programs, including the soon-to-release 2025 Panini Select WNBA, Mystery Redemptions provided a new layer of intrigue.

While they look and operate close to a normal redemption, they carry one major difference: There is no player listed, or even a checklist to look for. The players included in these were true mysteries — until now.

Officially, the five players included in this program are all from the 2025 rookie class: Paige Bueckers, Sonia Citron, Dominique Malonga, Kiki Iriafen and Hailey Van Lith.

Technically, which one you get remains a secret, as if you have a redemption, you won’t know which player you have until it arrives. But it will be one of those five standout rookies. You do, however, know what kind of card it will be.

If you own a Mystery Redemption from Impeccable, your card will be from Crown Royale Rookie Silhouettes. In One and One, we dropped Mystery Redemptions featuring Flawless Rookie Patch Autographs cards and in Select, we will drop Mystery Redemptions of National Treasures Rookie Patch Autographs.

The mystery isn’t over, but this at least narrows it down. Now for the guessing (and waiting) game: Which of the five rookies do you want most? Which will it actually be? For those already with a Mystery Redemption, hang on tight until all is revealed. For those cracking open WNBA Select when it releases in early May, look closely for a Mystery Redemption of your own.
