LAS VEGAS — During his company’s corporate address to more than 200 retailers on Monday at the 2012 Industry Summit, Panini America CEO Mark Warsop dropped something of a bombshell by announcing Panini America’s new exclusive licensing agreement with USA Baseball.
And not long after that, he brought an impassioned USA Baseball COO David Perkins to the stage for a few minutes to the discuss, from the USA Baseball perspective, the new multiyear agreement that makes Panini America the Official Trading Card of USA Baseball.
Find out what Perkins had to say about USA Baseball’s bright collecting future in the following video.

USA Baseball is an important niche product with obvious room for growth, it’s fair to say the line, unchanged for a number of years, has grown stale. I’m very interested to see what the creative minds at Panini can bring to bear!
Great video and a great pickup for Panini. Now go for the MLB one! Then you will own the collecting world!!
Congrats once again!
Topps grossly mishandled the USA Baseball license. Oversaturation is never a good thing and the cards they released were unimaginative to say the least. It’s refreshing to see USAB cares about these cards and not just the bottom line. I am very excited about the acquisition and can’t wait to see what Panini does for this noble product line. Best of luck!
Appreciate the kind words, Allen. We are honored to have acquired this license and we’re excited about the plans we have. We think you will be, too. Stay tuned.
