Panini America’s Black Friday promotion absolutely rocked collecting’s social media universe yesterday as hobbyists and hobby shops around the country lit up Twitter and Facebook with all-day accounts of huge hits, heavy buzz and positive reaction created by the company’s nationwide wrapper-redemption program.

Yesterday we shared just some of the exciting images with readers of The Knight’s Lance. Today, as the promotion continues its thrilling ride in hobby shops around the country and online at iCollectPanini.com, we’ve got more must-see images and a special video shot on-location inside Big League Cards in Casselberry, Fla., and produced by videographer extraordinaire Tom “The Ripper” Key.

Much of today’s gallery includes images shot by Panini America collector — and former Knight’s Lance contributor — Ryan Schear during his Black Friday excursion to Mike’s Stadium Sports Cards in Aurora, Colo. Additional images capture the excitement on display at Sports Cards Plus in San Antonio, Texas, and Scott’s Collectibles in Kannapolis, N.C.

  1. The picture on top with the little dude and his sister is perfect. He is so happy to have those cards, that smile is worth a million bucks. I really hope he pulled something cool.

  2. Props to Panini for stepping up and helping hobby shops reward our shoppers as they so richly deserve.

Glad to share the pics and CAN’T WAIT for Black Friday 2012!

All of the forum boards i have been on they have been raving over these and getting huuuuuuge hits. Thanks Panini for an awesome promotion!! I love seeing the gallery of the behind the scenes and the big hits!

  5. Thanks to Mike’s Stadium Sports Cards and Panini for such an awesome Black Friday! It’s nice that Panini and our local hobby shop (Mike’s) gives back to the customers and the hobby I’ve loved since I was a kid and can now share with my own daughter. She’s the one that pulled the Julio Jones auto 4/5! Nice!

  6. Hopefully next year panini will take into consideration what has been bought previously and not make the hobby stores buy more product that you already have in stock to get the packs to give away and also maybe not sell product off their web site and give away the packs there as well. that’s helping the hobby shops?
