Video: Pulling Messi Needs No Translation

By this point, the undeniable global fascination with Panini America's 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ Prizm trading card set really needs no explanation. Nor does it need a translator. From a bevy of four-figure sales prices on single cards to an international arsenal of autograph-signing soccer legends, the maiden FIFA World Cup Prizm release is making waves throughout the world.

From a bevy of four-figure sales prices on single cards to an international arsenal of autograph-signing soccer legends, the maiden FIFA World Cup Prizm release is making waves throughout the world.
We were reminded of this fact one more time earlier this week, when a Taiwan-based YouTuber with the user name “pilicon” left us, as a comment on The Knight’s Lance, a link to his one-box video break of 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ Prizm. Needless to say, it’s must-see stuff.

For the sake of time, we’ve turned pilicon’s 11-minute original into a two-minute highlight reel of sorts, complete with a dramatic, called-shot conclusion. Our edited video is below. (You can access his original video by searching YouTube for “pilicon.”)

  3. I wish I had that kind of luck. I bought 2 boxes and got no auto’s and only 4 total cards numbered to /199. spent $240.00 and got about $10.00 worth total from 2 boxes. I guess you hit big or go home. LOL. Better luck next time , i guess. just don’t know if i can swing another $120.00 for another bad box. I should just stick to my hockey…….Oh well, I tried.

  4. I guess Messi is pretty good at this thing called soccer. Or at least his autograph is rare & valuable.

  5. Great reaction, I’ve seen plenty of breaks in my time (and done a few as well) and that ranks up there as one of the better ones I’ve seen. Congrats to him and thanks for the video Tracy/Tom!

  6. I’ve bought one box and I got a rather good Au of Roberto Carlos. Plus the odds for Prizms are on average 8 per box, but I got 10 🙂 2 Numbered and 2 of ever other non-numbered type.
Awesome product, but I think there could have been more players from some of the lesser countries in the release. Being and ustralian we have only 3 base players. 🙁
