Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater Wins Week 4 2014 Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week Honors
Voters on NFL.com have made their choice. Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater of the Minnesota Vikings is the Week 4 2014 Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week for games played September 25-29, the NFL announced today. Bridgewater threw for 317 yards and ran for a touchdown in his first NFL start in the Vikings’ 41-28 win over the Atlanta Falcons.
Bridgewater was selected from among five finalists through fan votes on NFL.com. The other Week 4 finalists were Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles, Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans, Vikings RB Jerick McKinnon and Baltimore Ravens LB C.J. Mosley.
After the regular season, five players will be nominated for 2014 Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year honors. In conjunction with the 2014 Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week promotion, Panini America produces virtual trading cards of each week’s five nominees and a virtual card for each week’s winner.
