‘Whose Autographs Arrived Today?’ Contest Answers Revealed, Winner Announced

OK, so last week we unveiled a "Whose Autographs Arrived Today?" contest and asked visitors to identify 12 unidentified autographs from that day's list of arrivals. Well, judging by the overwhelming response (thank you very much), this appears to be a contest worth revisiting sooner rather than later.

OK, so last week we unveiled a “Whose Autographs Arrived Today?” contest and asked visitors to identify 12 unidentified autographs from that day’s list of arrivals. Well, judging by the overwhelming response (thank you very much), this appears to be a contest worth revisiting sooner rather than later.

While we included quite a few “gimmes” on our list of 12, we also slipped in a one or two real doozies that seemed to throw many entrants for a loop.

Well, we sifted through all the entrants this afternoon and were surprised to find that just five entries correctly identified each of the dozen signatures.

Before we tell you who won (through a random draw of all five correct entries), here are the identifies of the 12 signers in question:

1. Warren Moon
2. Ed Wang (toughie)
3. Patrick Sharp
4. Bill Russell
5. Avery Bradley
6. Robert Carradine
7. Lamar Odom
8.  Emmanuelle Chriqui
9. Sidney Crosby
10. LeGarrette Blount
11. Don Perkins
12. John McCarthy

And the winner is . . . calicokidcards.

Thanks again to everyone for participating. Expect another one of these contests soon.

Oh, and Happy Thanksgiving from everyone here at Panini America.

  1. Yeah, that Ed Wang one got me, it looked a lot like Ekpe Udoh’s signature with the “0” from his number “20” missing.

  2. This was real fun….I had 10 of the 12…..those two were real toughies ………I should have gotten the LeGarrette Blount though the clue through me off……….Thanks for giving us the opportunity …again was fun …….thank You…….

  3. I was one of the five who guessed all 12. As an avid (and curious) Bills fan, after I submitted my entry, I sent Ed Wang a message on Twitter (@ewang77). I sent him a link to the contest, and then sent him another message, asking him simply “Why do you sign your name “ER2?” I thought there would be some sort of special significance, however, he replied simply:

“@bodotdot haha it jus kinda mutated to that after years of signing haha not too sure.”

You can follow me on Twitter, if you want to see his reply there. I’m @bodotdot.
