Worth the Wait: 2010-11 Certified Hockey’s Freshman Fabric Signatures Start to Ship

Simply, they've been some of the most talked-about redemptions in the brief history of Panini America's NHL existence (perhaps because they're the oldest redemptions in the brief history of Panini America's NHL existence). But at long last, we're happy to announce that the Freshman Fabric Signatures Rookie Cards and accompanying parallels from 2010-11 Certified Hockey finally began shipping to collectors this week.

We sincerely apologize for the delay but hope that those of you who’ve been waiting find the cards (some of which are profiled in the gallery below) to be worth the wait.

  1. Is there a DEFINITIVE checklist for which cards are which? According to an old Beckett article mine should be Fowler, but I just wanted to check.

  4. Really? It took that long for sticker autographs? Not to be a downer, but I’m glad I sold every redemption I pulled this year in hockey, and believe me, there were a ton of them!

    1. wow, very well put, and for the wait, you would think it would be an on card, NOT! LOL! Maybe in the future, but i doubt it, just bc everybody is different on how, and when they want to sign. Its a real shame.

      1. I think the reason it took so long to get these, even though they were sticker autos, is because these cards didn’t really exist until half way through the NHL season last year at the earliest. It isn’t like they could just get a batch of stickers and stamp them on. The cards needed to be cast, jerseys had to be collected and then everything had to be put together. At the end of the day, it still would have been nice to have hard autos and/or have arrived much sooner, but I am willing to give them a pass. I do hope and expect to see significantly fewer redemption this year though.

  5. I requested replacements (and CS confirmed replacements would be sent) in June when I sold the rest of my master set, so I BETTER NOT receive these redemptions. I’m guessing the reason my follow-ups have been ignored is that this is exactly what is going to happen.

  6. Very nice!! Long awaited is right, and well worth it!! Thanks for having Derek in the header! Hopefully we can get him to sign on some of the other stuff we are waiting on now. Thanks again!!!

  7. These look great. Especially the Stepan. Being a RAngers fan. But certified is one of the best products for rookies and design. These are an easy example of why these are so sick and sweet!!

  8. Really! After complaining for almost a year and finally getting replacement cards sent to me for 2 of these 2 weeks ago (after I’m told on the phone they were probably not being made 3 months ago) they magically show up! You might want to consider sending them out to those that waited so long for nothing and got replacements if you really want to do the right thing.

    1. I agree Joe. Even if you got a replacement for the redemption, there should still be a card produced for your original redemption request. (499 will be created regardless of any replacement cards sent) So what will happen to all these redeemable cards that no one can claim now? So even though the cards will be stamped 499, how many will actually be in existance? Also, I was noticing some redemption from 2005 of players that have passed away. But we can only redeem our redemptions to the date that is printed on the card? Why, then, is Panini redeeming cards dated back to 2005? I just want to get my cards and be done with this. Great Post Joe.

  9. After all this time I know it’s being picky, but, you would think that A. They would be ON CARD, B. The jerseys are at LEAST game-worn, not event-worn. But, I’m still assumming it’ll be forever before I see this in my mailbox anyway.

  10. What about Luxury Suite? You listed receiving Alexander Burmistrov a month ago and I still haven’t received it. Also, what player is card 195?

  11. 191. Cam Fowler, Anaheim Ducks
    194. Alexander Burmistrov, Atlanta Thrashers
    195. Mattias Tedenby, New Jersey Devils
    196. Kevin Shattenkirk, Colorado Avalanche
    197. Derek Stepan, New York Rangers
    200. Nino Niederreiter, New York Islanders

  12. Tracy, when can we expect these guys to ship out? I am eager to add this Burmistrov to my collection. Also, I have an outstanding redemption for Zach Hamill’s rookie ticket out of Contenders that is several months old, but the odd thing is that earlier I had redeemed the exact card and got the first copy right away. Did Hamill only sign a portion of the cards or did something fall through the cracks? If I could get that looked at I’d appreciate it.

    Thanks

  13. Has Anyone Received their cards? I am still waiting on at least an update or answer in the question I asked from my account.

  14. Where are my cards? It is now 3 Aprill 2012 and I am still waiting for a Alexander Burmistrov and a Mattias Tedenby Rookie. This is disappointing it has taken this long and still not cards.
