With the National Sports Collectors Convention less than a month away, officials at Panini America today released information announcing their plans for VIPs attending the National.

With the National Sports Collectors Convention less than a month away, officials at Panini America today released information announcing their plans for VIPs attending the National.

The base set, available to those purchasing one of the VIP packages, will feature Panini spokesmen Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, John Wall and Blake Griffin. The first four cards will be inserted into VIP bags, along with a special coupon directing VIPs to the Panini corporate booth to obtain an additional two cards. The coupon must be brought to the Panini booth and exchanged for the two mystery cards, available for collectors throughout the week.

SuperVIPs are in for an extra treat, a 6-card set featuring some of the top 2011 NFL RCs from this year’s rookie class. Cam Newton, the first pick in the NFL Draft will be joined by fellow rookies Mark Ingram, A.J. Green, Blaine Gabbert and Jake Locker. The sixth card in the set will be the FIRST trading card produced of former Ohio State quarterback, Terrelle Pryor. SuperVIPs will find a coupon in their VIP package, when brought to the Panini booth, can be exchanged for the set.

Those who purchase one of the VIP packages will need to bring the coupons to the Panini corporate booth during the 2011 National. 

The 32nd annual National Sports Collector Convention will be held at the Donald E Stephens Convention Center from August 3-7.
