Panini America 2017-18 Opulence Basketball QC2

Panini America’s new Opulence Basketball franchise arrives in hobby shops across North America on Friday ready for an inaugural run that’s steeped in luxury. As we noted in our initial post announcing this product, Opulence’s content delivers a best-of-both-worlds storyline detailing how the best parts of Gold Standard meld with the best parts of Preferred to create a completely new product. As you’ll see in the revealing Quality Control Gallery below, the product leaned heavily on both of those popular products for inspiration in terms of both content and design.

On average, each 10-card box of 2017-18 Opulence Basketball will deliver seven autograph or memorabilia cards, two base cards and one parallel numbered to 25 or less. All base cards are numbered to 79 and there are just 473 total memorabilia-only cards — all in the sublime NBA Finals Booklets insert featuring jerseys worn during Game 2 of the 2017 NBA Finals.

There’s also an eight-autograph booklet featuring Markelle Fultz, Lonzo Ball, Jayson Tatum, Lauri Markkanen, Dennis Smith Jr., Donovan Mitchell, Kyle Kuzma and De’Aaron Fox.

We’ll have much more on 2017-18 Opulence Basketball soon right here on The Knight’s Lance. In the meantime, enjoy this extensive preview that showcases some of the gems that surfaced during the recent packout process.

2017-18 Opulence Basketball will be available on the official online store of Panini America beginning Friday at 10 a.m. CST.
