All Eyes on Panini at 2024’s The National Convention

July 23, 2024

Written by Kara Gates

The National Sports Collector’s Convention is the biggest sports card and memorabilia show in the country, and Panini America is more than prepared to make sure our activities are the best of the entire outing.

The doors will be open from July 24-28, and you’re going to want to head Panini’s way and partake in an outing that most sports collectors only dream about. We strive to make your visit a special one with a plethora of exclusive events and experiences for all ages. Let’s preview those experiences so you can plan your itinerary to a T.

Panini’s 13th Annual National VIP Party

If you could only attend one event, you’d want to make sure it was the annual Panini VIP Party. This year’s party will take place on Saturday night (July 27) of the National in downtown Cleveland. Due to the exclusivity of the party, the musical act and athletes attending will be revealed throughout the week, so keep your eyes and ears open.

Tickets are sold through Panini America and will also be available through one of three Panini authorized show floor dealers: Dave & Adam’s, Blowout Cards and Steel City Collectibles.

Silver Packs

Returning for its 15th consecutive year is the ever-popular Silver Packs Wrapper-Redemption promotion. Only boxes purchased at the show from authorized dealers will be eligible for Silver Pack redemptions, and there will be a maximum of five boxes per person, per transaction. Full-case redemptions are not allowed.

Redemption times will be posted daily at the Panini Booth, so be sure to stop by each day. You won’t want to miss out on this opportunity, as the Silver Packs can sell out without notice.

Box Wars

That’s right, Panini America Box Wars are back, and the prizes are going to be bigger and better than ever before. Prizes will be randomly awarded this year and will include more than a dozen Panini National Black Box 1-of-1s, as well as boxes of 2023-24 Prizm Basketball, 2023 Immaculate WWE, 2022-23 One and One Basketball, 2023 Limited Football FOTL and more.

Collectors who are eager to join in on any of the 24 scheduled Box Wars throughout the week can purchase their boxes anywhere on the show floor, but they must be brought to Panini’s booth still sealed.

Free Case Breaks For Kids

When we said events and experiences for all ages, we meant it. The kids will shine during this extremely popular (and, more importantly, free) event, led by Ultimate Box Breaks’ Bryan Gavin. The event will begin on July 25, and there will be eight total case breaks. Products will include 2023 Zenith Football, 2023 Contenders Football and 2023-24 Obsidian Hobby International Basketball.

Youngsters who wish to participate must be in line at the Panini America booth each morning at 10 a.m. CST to register and receive badges (while supplies last).

Exclusive National Kids Crates

Also for the kiddos this year, Panini will be offering an NSCC-exclusive Kids Crate to hobbyists 14 and younger inside the Panini America booth. These crates will include specially designed 2024 National Ultra PRO® ONE-TOUCH® Edge™  and other exclusive Panini products. With each Kids Crate purchased, collectors will also receive one 2024 NCSS Silver Pack.

Panini America Live on the Mike Berkus Main Stage

Last, but most certainly not least, get ready to join us on Saturday from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. on the Mike Berkus Main Stage in the Case Break Pavilion. Panini America’s Tracy Hackler, Kevin Haake and Go GTS Live will host a Case Break with a very special guest from the Make-A-Wish foundation. You definitely don’t want to miss this event.

Keep your eye out for additional information to come on Panini America’s participation in this year’s National Sports Collector’s Convention and pay close attention to our social media channels to see exclusive updates and complete coverage of the top collector’s show in the country.
