An Interview (and Autograph Signing) with Washington Wizards Superstar John Wall

February 01, 2011

Just hours before delivering another signature, stat-sheet-stuffing performance Monday night in a 102-92 loss to the Dallas Mavericks (17 points, 10 assists, four rebounds, one steal), Washington Wizards rookie superstar John Wall was tucked away in the lobby of a posh Dallas hotel leaving his mark in other ways.

Like, indelibly, with the smooth strokes of his Staedtler-clutching right hand . . . on some of the first pieces of Panini Authentic memorabilia (more to come on that) and on stickers slated for past, present and future Panini America basketball card products.

The soft-spoken Wall, a Panini-exclusive spokesman, was gracious, humble, consistent and efficient during the 30-minute signing session, sashaying seamlessly from signing gorgeous 16 by 20-inch photographs to inking more traditional trading card fare.

Check out the following gallery from yesterday’s signing . . . and stay tuned till the end for a brief video interview with Wall, who leads all 2010-11 rookies in assists and is second in scoring.
