It's not every day that someone makes their Panini Unwrapped debut. Of course, it's not every day that Panini America introduces a product as visibly unique as 2015 Clear Vision Football. That day comes tomorrow when the product releases in hobby shops across North America. Earlier today, Tracy Hackler sat down with Football Brand Manager Chris Barr, Unwrapped rookie Thomas Barchi and three boxes of the product.

The results, as you’ll see in the video that follows, speak for themselves. Enjoy the video and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for continued coverage of 2015 Clear Vision Football.
Looks awesome since on disibility def can’t go to nationals. Hope to pick up a box though after I get my Sadi check.
How do we win one of those, I would love to get my hands on a box
Tracy, I only got about 3 minute into the video and had to stop. The Football Product Head guy (the one on the left… your right) said ” We only used Top 10 Rookies” when referring to the auto checklist.
This is patently false and you have proven it. In the post dated 7/22/2015 when you sneaked 4 boxes, you pulled a DaVante Parker auto/relic. He was drafted 14th by the Miami Dolphins. I realize it can be hard to speak off the cuff like that, but I felt it needed to be brought to attention.
Now back to the rest of the video…
Another thing I couldn’t help but think while watching — the boxes, are they made of post-consumer content to any degree, and/or are they recyclable? Normal boxes being made of paper most likely get thrown away and then go to a landfill to hopefully break down eventually. I’m guessing whatever form of acetate you’re using is going to persist significantly longer than cardboard. Just so something to keep in mind for future releases — Panini could be an industry leader in more environmentally friendly packaging and other things.
Otherwise, I like the way the product looks and it definitely is going to be a fun break.
Appreciate the feedback, Ryan. Don’t want to speak for Chris, but I’m assuming he didn’t mean the top 10 picks in the draft, but rather the top 10 skill-position players — typically the most collected of picks.
You should speak for me more often, Tracy. You’re dead on. We went with our choices for what we thought would be the 10 most valuable rookies this year. And being the 14th overall pick and 3rd WR taken, we felt Parker deserved that nod. Don’t forget, Odell was the 12th overall and also 3rd WR taken last year. We will definitely have all the other top rookies along with their autographs represented in products later this season. In fact, Prestige will have them and it’s next up on the release schedule.
Woohoo! Count me in for a giveaway box!
acetate low voice repeat made me stop watching the video
Love that Calvin Johnson.
Why only the top 10 skill players? Who decides who the top 10 are? Sucks if you are a fan of a team whose rookie autos aren’t in there. I would have bought a ton of these boxes if you had the 2 jags rookies in the checklist. (Auto checklist) But this leaves me with no reason to buy any.
I received my first Clear Vision card in the mail yesterday, I was surprised to see a seller with some listed this past weekend and quickly scooped up the Donte Moncrief Sophomore Standouts purple 1/1. I’m super impressed by the technology used for this product and having the rookies in their pro uniforms this early in the 2015 NFL campaign. My one concern is that not every box has an auto, unless you hit a very high end and/or super prime swatch it seems like a pretty big risk even at the price point. That said, for those with a penchant for modern looks and a stronger constitution than I for their wax budget this product will be a smash hit. Thanks Tracy!
Please enter me for one of those boxes.
wow finally an amazing box I can afford. can not wait so many sweet cards and jumbo patches are sweet. hoping for the DEZ auto
This surely is a sweet ac-etate (get it? lol) product and it is crystal clear this is going to be one of my favorite products on the year. Very affordable, yet a great chance at sick hits. Thanks as always Tracey!
so wish I could make it to nationals next week but will be watching from Texas. good luck to who ever wins a box. they are clearly the best
So you said you guys are giving them away for those that can’t make the Convention, and I would love to get my hands on a box or a few packs… is that going to be a future giveaway or did I miss something?
Stay tuned.
I love the design and love the price point. Just like a fellow collector on here, I too would have loved it more if there was a guaranteed auto per box but I’m hoping with only one auto per case, that should help increase and add more value to the autos now and long term. Great job as always Panini! I wish me and my daughters could be at the National this year but unfortunately we can’t. We had so much fun last year in Cleveland. We look forward to following all of your updates and tweets on here next week though. Keep up the great work Tracy & Chris & everybody else at Panini!
Great stuff Chris and Tracy!
Great design on the shadowbox autos.
