Panini America’s iconic “Rated Rookie” term will take on added significance in the upcoming 2015 Prestige Football release when 41 of the highest-rated rookies in the NFL take center stage in the NFLPA Rookie Premiere Next Day Autographs insert wearing . . . what else? . . . their first Rated Rookie T-shirts.

In a minor manufacturing miracle that took place over the course of just a few days during last week’s 2015 NFLPA Rookie Premiere, Panini America officials captured the photography, created the designs, printed the cards and had them delivered to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum by Saturday morning for the players to sign. The result, as you’ll see below, is a unique addition to the venerable Prestige Football brand.

While most of the Panini America photography captured during the 2015 NFLPA Rookie Premiere focused on the action side of things, the imagery selected for the Next Day Autographs insert provides an opportunity to get up close and personal with the NFL’s future superstars. The on-card autographs, of course, help bring their personalities out just a little bit more.

In the gallery that follows, we showcase all 41 cards in a set that promises to be quite scarce when 2015 Prestige Football releases early next month. Enjoy — and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for additional coverage of the 2015 NFLPA Rookie Premiere.

  1. Wow a lot of time and effort went into the design. Are there any sps where like the helmet it barely turned dif or the guy is standing on the other side of the card.

  2. Well, self-promotion aside… I like the idea of the Rated Rookie cards, but through no fault of Panini’s… in my opinion, most fall flat. I think the huge signing space does the parallel a disservice in that the full horror of the ink is on display.
The signature of virtually every player consists of 2 letters, aside from Nelson Agholor’s inspired “N 17.” Most of these scrawls serve as a powerful indictment of the American educational system.
While Panini can’t be held fresponsible for Tevin Coleman’s ghastly penmanship, perhaps Panini can pay a bonus for each legible letter. Marcus Mariota has a beautiful sig’, the rest of his class could take a lesson.
