Panini America Adds Rare Ink from Football Rookies, Hall of Famers to 2016 National Set
Frequent readers of The Knight’s Lance already know that we started previewing the many facets of Panini America’s 2016 National Sports Collectors Convention wrapper-redemption set in the last week or so. Our first post detailed the multisport base set but anyone who’s ever participated in a Panini America wrapper-redemption program at the National knows the base set is only the beginning.
Between now and when the 2016 National opens its doors in Atlantic City on August 3, we’ll have previewed the inserts, the parallels, the autographs and the memorabilia cards planned for this year’s promotion. Today, however, we’re going to explore some unique ink from football’s greatest legends and most promising rookies being randomly inserted into this year’s wrapper-redemption packs.
In the gallery that follows, we showcase cards from the 2016 NFLPA Rookie Premiere Next Day Autographs chase (which were made and signed in a span of two days during May’s NFLPA Rookie Premiere) and from the 2014 Pro Football Hall of Fame insert. Both sets will make their debut as randomly inserted — and rare — inclusions in Panini America’s 2016 National Sports Collectors Convention set.
Enjoy the revealing sneak peek that follows and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for continued coverage.
