BACKPANINI AMERICA LAUNCHES THE FIRST-EVER OHIO STATE TRADING CARD BOX SET
Irving, TX – August 26, 2025 – Panini America, the world’s largest sports and entertainment collectibles company, is introducing their first-ever Ohio State University trading card box set.
The set of nearly 250 trading cards encompasses athletes from the Buckeyes’ football, men’s and women’s basketball, women’s volleyball and women’s lacrosse programs, and will be available for sale at retailers and hobby stores nationwide, as well as on Panini’s website and at the official online team store of Ohio State.
Additionally, the collection will be available for sale at Ohio Stadium on Saturday, August 30th, as the defending National Champions open the 2025 college football season with a massive match-up against the University of Texas.
The Ohio State set features a host of current and legendary Buckeyes, including Jeremiah Smith, Caleb Downs, Carnell Tate, Archie Griffin, Eddie George, Cris Carter, Katie Smith, Michael Redd, and Jaloni Cambridge.
The collection will feature Panini Prizm and Prizm inserts such as Prizm Trophy Hunting, which is dedicated to last season’s National Championship team, Prizm Fearless and Prizm Fireworks. Additional inserts available in the box set include Color Blast, On Campus and the new Thunder insert.
Cards will be available at retail in four card packs, six packs per box and 20 boxes per case and will also have randomly inserted autographed cards and hobby-exclusive parallels. For Hobby, there will be six cards per pack, six packs per box and two autographed cards per box, along with exclusive content.

This special Ohio State box set is the latest expansion of the partnership between school and Panini. Last year, Panini introduced Panini College, a dedicated NIL platform that allows athletes at a partner university to have their own Panini trading card, with Ohio State as an inaugural Panini College school. Panini also has exclusive, multi-year autographed trading card partnerships with select Ohio State athletes, including Downs and quarterbacks Julian Sayin and Tavien St. Clair.
Panini unveiled a University of Connecticut men’s and women’s basketball box set earlier this year and is planning additional school-focused NIL box sets in the coming months.
