Panini America Offers Detailed First Look at 2015 Prizm Baseball (Preview Gallery)

For the better part of the last two weeks, Panini America officials have been spending quality time with some of the brightest young stars in baseball during the second annual Panini Spring Training Road Trip. The event began earlier this month with a five-day stint in Florida and concluded last night after two days in Arizona.

For the better part of the last two weeks, Panini America officials have been spending quality time with some of the brightest young stars in baseball during the second annual Panini Spring Training Road Trip. The event began earlier this month with a five-day stint in Florida and concluded last night after two days in Arizona.

The primary objective of the event was to secure the type of invaluable content — photography, autographs and memorabilia — that will drive Panini America MLBPA-licensed products all season long. Consider that mission accomplished, especially as it relates to the company’s upcoming 2015 Prizm Baseball release.

If you’ve kept up with all of the action on Panini America’s Twitter and Instagram feeds the last few weeks by following the #PaniniSpringTraining hash tag, you know that 2015 Prizm Baseball has been a fundamental focus of the event. The newest iteration of the perennial favorite features stunning new designs, colors and technologies (including the bold incorporation of Tie-Dye Prizms and Pink Ribbon Prizms) and a bevy of on-card autographs. Keep reading to find out more details on the product that’s slated for a May 13 release.

Each hobby box of 2015 Prizm Baseball (six cards per pack, 12 packs per box) offers two autographs, nine Prizm parallels (including three numbered versions) and an assortment of inserts featuring two Passion, one USA Baseball, one Diamond Marshals, one Fresh Faces and one Fireworks.

Other highlights of 2015 Prizm Baseball include . . .

  • New Prizm parallels including Camo Prizms (numbered to 199), Black and White Checker Prizms (numbered to 149), Red Power Prizms (numbered to 125), Purple Flash Prizms (numbered to 99) and Tie-Dye Prizms (numbered to 50).
  • The all-new Pink Ribbon Prizm Ink featuring autographs from top names like Javier Baez, Troy TulowitzkiPablo Sandoval, Wil Myers, George Springer, Adam Jones, Eric Hosmer and more.
  • On-card autographs of the 2015 Rookie Class with hot names like Rusney CastilloBrandon Finnegan, Javier Baez, Jorge Soler and Dalton Pompey. Also look for autographs from top prospects such as Luis Severino, Kris Bryant, Byron BuxtonCarlos Rodon and Yasmany Tomas.
  • The die-cut Signature Distinctions autograph insert top baseball names like Jose Abreu, Freddie Freeman, Paul Goldschmidt, David WrightPaul Molitor, Jose Canseco and Goose Gossage and an array or colorful parallels.
  • The captivating Field Pass insert that provides an all-access look at your favorite players from unique camera angles.
  • Prizm Signatures returns in 2015 with an intriguing lineup and interesting colors. Look for Jose Canseco, Nolan RyanEdgar Martinez, Jay Buhner, David Justice and more and Prizm versions including Checkered, Red, White and Blue, Gold Pulsar and Black Finite.
  • Introduced in 2014, the Jackie Robinson Prizm was a collector favorite. It returns in 2015 with a new look and color scheme. Also, find a tribute to one of the game’s best players with the No. 2 Prizm parallel.
