TORONTO — The 2012 Toronto Spring Expo came to a conclusion Sunday afternoon with similar results to those of the three most recent Expos held at the Toronto International Centre: With Panini Amerca completely out of packs and the company’s wrapper-redemption stealing the show.

Sunday’s autograph guests included some incredible netminders, including Ed Giacomin, Rogie Vachon, Kirk McLean and Charlie Hodge as well as Hall of Famer Darryl Sittler. Thanks to everyone who came by the Panini America booth and made this show way more enjoyable than it should have been.

With that, here’s our photo farewell from Toronto, with the highlights of Sunday’s final hours. We can’t wait until the fall.

  1. Hey guys first year at the expo and i loved it , It was amazing , I am so excited to go again , And if there is one happening in the fall i will defiantly be going back , So much to do , So many great deals , And there is almost to much to look at and to many great deals to take in for me all in a day’s time , But i loved the redemption program the cards were awesome , And i was happy to crack open my packs at the booth to receive some free redemption packs , Got some great hits and had a great weekend ! , Just want to thank everyone for putting together such a great show and such a great redemption program , I love the redemption cards they are awesome , The all-star cards are sweet and the Red MVP Cards are awesome as-well , Pulled a Alex Ovechkin Collision Course Card that has the 11-12 All Star Title engraved into the card and it was # 3 out of 5 , So i guess that must have been a pretty rare hit , And i also got the Gordie Howe red MVP card , And the Malkin and Kessel All-Star Game Cards , Awesome Cards ! , Thanks Guys ! , Really Excited for the next Expo !

  2. my son and I had a great time talking and interacting with all the guys from Pannini even before he opened up his two boxes of the certified hockey. The look on his face was priceless when the pulled the Hoppkins rookie auto/jersey. If that was not awsome enought he recieved some awsome redemption pack cards as well.A towel card as well as the Ovie all-star game patch. We will definetlly make it to the next show that you guys attend. See if Tracy can make it this time. It would be cool to have my son me another of the guys he sees on you-tube, once again thank you for a great time from the both of us.
