LOS ANGELES — Tomorrow evening at the Home Depot Center in Los Angeles, 100 NFL prospects will take part in the 2013 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl, showcasing their talents for professional scouts in hopes of making it to the NFL and, perhaps not long thereafter, onto their first Panini America Rookie Card. Naturally, Panini America will be there, too.

As a sponsor of the event, Panini America officials have spent most of their time in L.A. this week getting to know some of the next generation of NFL stars and interacting with their NFLPA partners. But tomorrow, the company plans to make a big in-stadium, social-media splash as part of the @NFLPABowl Twitter Photo Contest Presented by Panini America.

Early and often during tomorrow’s game, which begins at 3 p.m. PST and will be televised live by ESPN2, the @NFLPABowl Twitter account, the in-stadium announcer and the Home Depot Center Jumbotron will ask fans in attendance to Tweet a photo showing why they’re the biggest NFLPA Collegiate Bowl fan. Fans will have until the end of the second quarter to a) Tweet their picture in a reply to @NFLPABowl using the #NFLPABowl hash tag, and b) follow both the @NFLPABowl and @PaniniAmerica Twitter accounts.

NFLPA officials will select three winners during halftime and, at the conclusion of halftime, will notify winners via Twitter, an in-stadium announcement and a Jumbotron notification. Those winners will receive, among other things, some sweet prizes from Panini America that include boxes of new NFL trading cards and the official 2012 NFL Sticker Album and stickers.

But we don’t want our friends in Los Angeles to have all the fun. So we’re going to extend that contest to Panini America fans at home, too. And here’s how we’re going to do that:

We want fans at home watching the game on ESPN2 to Tweet @PaniniAmerica a pic of themselves holding their  favorite Panini America card IN FRONT OF THEIR TV WITH THE GAME ON IN THE BACKGROUND. Be sure to use the #PaniniWildCard hash tag in your Tweet, too. We’ll select four winners at random to win one box of NFL trading cards.

Got all that? Good luck and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for additional coverage of the 2013 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl.

Contests like these and the multitude of others going on with Panini America right now are why they are far and away the BEST trading card company in the business. Looking forward to seeing Panini’s logos in the big lights during the game tomorrow and watching the players to be on the lookout for! Thanks again Tracy and Panini

  2. Bummer some of us (if not most) International won’t be able to enter in this contest. I Will have to keep my eyes peeled for the next one!
