While most of the hockey collecting universe continues to gush over the 2011-12 Prime Hockey while anticipating the upcoming 2011-12 Dominion Hockey, Panini America product development folks must keep their collective gaze fixed on what’s ahead, including the brand-new 2012-13 Classics Signatures Hockey coming later this year.

Due out in late October/early November, 2012-13 Classics Signatures Hockey builds on a proud name from Panini America’s past (Classics) while adding one of collecting’s favorite aspects (Autographs) as a means of honoring the greatest players from hockey’s storied history by delivering one retired-player autograph in every five-card pack.

Other highlights of the product (which features six packs per box and 12 boxes per case) include . . .

  • Classic Signatures: Autographs of NHL stars and legends of the past including Mark Messier, Gordie Howe, Steve Yzerman, Johnny Bower and many more
  • Classic Lines Triple Autographs: Showcase signatures from the NHL’s greatest line combinations of the past
  • Social Signatures: Unique autographed cards featuring the featured player’s Twitter handles
  • An expected case-break yield that should deliver one Notable Nicknames autograph, one Inaugural Inks autograph, two Classic Combos dual autographs and three Social Signatures autographs
