It's been one of the most-asked questions dribbling around the basketball card hobby for quite some time now. What, exactly, will Panini America's Draft Class Redemption cards inserted into last year's releases of 2011-12 Past & Present, 2011-12 Limited and 2011-12 Gold Standard look like.
It’s been one of the most-asked questions dribbling around the basketball card hobby for quite some time now. What, exactly, will the cards included in Panini America’s Draft Pick Redemption program from last year’s releases of 2011-12 Past & Present, 2011-12 Limited and 2011-12 Gold Standard look like.
It’s a question that increased substantially in volume the night we revealed the checklist for the 2011 autographed versions during a special live telecast on BlogTV. Today, it’s also a question that finally starts getting answered.
What follows is a preliminary sneak peek at some of the cards — primarily those of 2012 NBA Draft picks from 2011-12 Past & Present and 2011-12 Limited. But we’ve also taken the liberty of mocking up autographed examples of 2011 NBA Draft picks Kyrie Irving and Kenneth Faried from Limited and Past & Present, respectively, just to show you what those will look like, too.
We’ll have plenty more to share in the coming days and weeks right here on The Knight’s Lance, including a sneak peek at the metal versions and autographs from 2011-12 Gold Standard. But until then, enjoy this extended first look . . .

Looks good! Can’t wait to get mine. On the P&P autos, are the basketball “bumps” raised, or flat?
Need to grab a card and find out. Will keep you posted.
Thank you Tracy!
Can’t wait for it! Looks really nice!
Well Done Panini!
I like all the snowflakes falling down on the page 🙂 The Cards look awesome too
The snow is courtesy of our friends at WordPress. Glad you like the cards. Heck, glad you like the snowflakes, too.
Outstanding quality on these
Awe… Was hoping to see my p&p brandon knight. But i totally dig the design. Cant wait til its in my hands
Both look great! Am i crazy for liking the P&P even more than the limited, anybody? P.S. Tracy I asked a question about Sps on one of the older Prizm thread, big question on the forums, thanks.
Let me see what I can find out on the Prizm SPs.
Thanx Tracy, my questions must be getting better bc your getting back to me more on here;)
Can’t wait to get mine …really liking the black backgrounds in the past and present….job very well done in my opinion …..just a quick question will they be numbered.ex. 66/999.
Thanks for the great preview…
These look sick! Can’t wait to see the gold stnadrd golden futures metal. I heard the card is made of metal?!?! I cashed in my 2 Kendall Marshall redemptions for limited and gs so good to know they’ll be coming soon.
Yes, the Gold Standards for the 2012 class will be made of metal.
Excellent looking gallery, those who have been waiting will be rewarded well for their patience! Thanks Tracy!
Thanks Tracy for the preview of these cards. Now i have an idea of how my Kawhi Leonard from p&p is going to look like. And from what i have seen here it will look really nice.
The cards are all very nice looking but I would think the most asked questions would now be: When will Panini start shipping out the cards? Are the cards actually ready? Why only a “mock-up” of those 2 autos? Why didn’t Panini use the many months between the release of the products (that contained these redemptions) and Oct 29th Blog TV program to get the cards all ready to ship out? What is your plan to start fulfilling all these redemptions?
i cant wait to get my gs auto of Kyrie Irving and Kenneth Faried ,cant wait to see what there going to look like only have one metal one coming but 4 gs auto hope it soon thank you for the preview tracy hope to see the gs preview soon
Very nice! Hopefully they are a but textured, as that would look really nice.
One question… The Limited xrc’s were stated to be 75 copies or less. Are these going to be serial numbered?
Lots of good questions on this topic, as I thought there might be. I will check in with our Product Development and Production teams tomorrow in search of answers.
Hi tracy, when are prizm retail hitting the stores?
Would like to some pics of how the gold standard rookies look like
The Kyrie looks SHARP!! I have 2 of those, Can’t wait for them to be signed, they look awesome!
Based on the picture, I take it that the redemptions for the 2012 draft class are not auto 🙁
Any update on whether the 2012 Limited XRC’s will be serial #’d?
Pretty sure they will not be numbered.
Look nice, will the limited for the 2012 class be made of plastic？ And will gold and limited for the 2012 class be numbered？
