Panini America 2017 Preferred Football Deshaun Watson

Panini America is taking a few pages from the Playbook playbook to further enhance its popular Preferred Football franchise. So when the souped-up 2017 edition arrives in early December, don’t be surprised to discover that some of Playbook’s most popular booklet inserts have found a new home — right alongside the perennially popular Silhouettes and Rookie Silhouettes autographed gems.

2017 Preferred Football is slated to hit hobby shops across North America on December 6 with an all-thriller/no-filler recipe that delivers, on average, four autographs (including at least one hard-signed Silhouette or Rookie Silhouette) and one memorabilia booklet card in every five-card hobby box.

Highlights of the revamped Preferred are many and include . . .

  • Playbook’s most popular booklet inserts — Game of Inches, Red Zone, Championship Fabric and Armory — make their Preferred debut.
  • The now-legendary Silhouettes and Rookie Silhouettes return with their oversized jersey or patch pieces and on-card signatures (one per box, on average). Be on the lookout for Super Prime and NFL Shield versions numbered to five or less.
  • New to Preferred is the die-cut Preferred Penmanship insert featuring on-card autographs from the game’s top rookies and legends.
  • Expectations are high for the 2017 NFL Draft Class and nothing brings this to life like Great X-Pectations. This 40-card set delivers autographs from some of the hottest rookies in the NFL.

We’ll have much more on 2017 Preferred Football in the coming weeks right here on The Knight’s Lance. For now, though, enjoy this extended sneak peek:
