Panini Authentic Inks Exclusive Agreement with NFL Superstar Andrew Luck
Panini America, the world’s largest sports and entertainment collectibles company, announced today that it has signed Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck to an exclusive multi-year autograph and memorabilia agreement through its Panini Authentic division.
Luck becomes the first NFL player to join Panini Authentic’s exclusive roster of athletes that also includes NBA superstars Kobe Bryant, Blake Griffin and Kevin Durant. Luck’s autographed memorabilia – including signed helmets, jerseys and photographs – is available now exclusively on the Panini Authentic Website.
“Andrew has been a featured attraction in our officially licensed 2012 NFL trading cards this season and we’re thrilled to welcome him to the Panini Authentic family as our first exclusive NFL player,” said Panini America CEO Mark Warsop. “We’ve been waiting for just the right player to spearhead Panini Authentic’s expansion into other sports. Andrew Luck is that player.”
Through the first five games of his NFL career, Luck has thrown for more than 1,400 yards and seven touchdown passes.
During his final season at Stanford in 2011, Luck was awarded the Walter Camp Award as National Player of the Year, Maxwell Award, and First Team All-American honors on the strength of 3,517 passing yards and 39 total touchdowns. Luck also holds Pac-12/Pac-10 records for highest completion percentage in both a season (2011) and career, as well as passer efficiency rating in a career.
“From producing my first rookie trading cards this season, to this new partnership with Panini Authentic, Panini America has been a great supporter during my rookie season,” Luck said. “It is an honor to be the first NFL player to join Panini Authentic and I look forward to working with them in this new capacity moving forward.”
